Hi

I believe it is possible to have a second instance of the graphic screen within winamp. This would mean that the singer has the graphics (Words) on the extended desktop screen and you would have your normal screen plus a small graphics window with exactly the same as the singer is seeing. Just wwriting to ask if anyone knows how to do this - I belive its something to do with renaming a file?

Thanks for looking

Paul

Go to the following folder....

C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins

Find the gen_cdg.dll file, copy it into the same folder and name it gen_cdg2.dll

Restart winamp and you will have 2 lyrics windows. And the first time you start a karaoke song after doing this the lyrics window may be on top of each other, you would have to drag the new one to your singers screen.

Also after you get the lyrics windows positioned where you want them make the gen_cdg.ini & gen_cdg2.ini file in the C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins folder read only. Then each time you start up the lyrics windows will be in the same position as when you shut down.

Just a note... this doesn't work with the older winamp 2.8x versions... I'm pretty sure this works only for the 5.x versions and above.

Yes, it works for Ver 2.95 and above
(except for possibly ver 3.0-I have read where one should stay away from this version completely)
