Hello, i am new to the boards and am very happy to find your forum off google. I am new to the karaoke business, but have been a wedding dj for 5 years now.
I love winamp. I used the standard cd-g/mp3-g plugin and everything worked great! I now downloaded (and paid for) sax and dotty. When i now play a file, the "CDG Plug-in" box shows in my bottom toolbar, however no lyric box is found. It's not behind the player either. I removed my original plugin and downloaded the one sax and dotty said to use off thier site. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both plugins, still without avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it is not behind the Sax N Dotty window then perhaps it is off to your extended desktop screen (TV).
In winamp you could go to "Options" then "Preferences" and under "Plug-Ins" click on "General Purpose" and then select the MP3&G plug-in and look at its configuration window, perhaps that will clear it up for you, as far as where it is.

The configure window has the following options: enable (which is checked yes) horizontal and vertical margines (which i have set and applies from 0-50-100 each with no luck) and have 2 monitors hooked up and have switched primary screens between both with no luck. i have not played with the timing settings yet. do these matter?

I don't particularly understand the settings but for what it's worth heres what mines set to and works successfully

(by the way it's V1.4)

Horiz - 10
Vert - 10

Timing 30 ms
Plugin drift 1.00466
Hysteresis period 100 ms

Are you sure you're running correct files (both mp3 and cdg) ?

You say the cdg-plugin appears in the bottom task bar but there is no lyrics screen hiding behind anything.
It should be there somewhere.
Try this: while playing a karaoke track right click once on the cdg-plugin box in your taskbar (you probably won't see anything happen by doing this but what it will do is make the lyrics window, where ever it is, the active window) then use the "shift f" to try and bring it to full screen. If it appears then right click on the lyrics screen and check the always on top box.
