Hi, I am new at creating Karaoke files (CDG+MP3). I have some CDG+MP3 files but all these boring blue background. Is it possible to change the background to other images or slide show?

Thanks.

:)

Siglos player has an option built right into it that lets you have a slideshow in the background. But IMO its kinda annoying. Siglos by itself if pretty good tho.

The older JVC disc player & the even older DK players had an option to plug in either a camera (to show video of singer behind the words) or vcr to just have something playing in the background.

Alot of the karaoke hosting software today will allow an image to be inserted under the words.

Lonman,

Thanks for the reply. I think I did not pots my question correctly. I have the karaoke in CD's I created with Power CD+G Burner. However it has the same boring blue background. what I wanted to do was to change teh background and then burn it to a new cd with more interesting images, so that when I go teh teh local bar I can take my CD's with me.

If you know any specific software that does that please let me know.

Thanks.

That i'm not sure. Could try Karafun, never used that myself so not sure if it would be able to do that or not.

Karafun Fire burning up the lyrics is really neat. If I could have figured out how to hotkey a few things like keychange I would probably be hosting with it. And maybe you can.

I selected just four images that change every minute on my Siglos. They're not that intrusive and all kind of dark blue-ish, except one, a guy playing guitar, but everyone likes him so he's still in there. There's a rising full moon, a weird witchlike dancing lady with veils, and a dark menacing landscape.

Actually, the original CDG specification allows for the background color to be transparent and so allow a background image to show through. However, not all CDG rendering software support this (mostly because no one ever used it.) If you're asking is it possible to make a CDG (as in a disk containing only the music and the CDG graphics inforation) with a background picture.... yeah it is, but not a good picture. 16 colors at most and even that would take a while to draw. So...Possible yes: Practical no.

...and I agree that it would be annoying.

To be honest, I just turned the background images on as an experiment one night, but got so many oohs and aahs that they've been on ever since.

I haven't had even one complaint. When you're singing you really don't notice them.

For displaying images: Siglos is nice, but you have very little control of the images!

You could use Power Karaoke's CDG to Avi Converter.
* Set all of the backgrounds to the same shade of Blue or Green.

* Use ONE "Blue or Green Filter" in one of the Various editing softwares i.e. Adobe Premiere.
Now the Background is Completely Gone!

* Overlay your "Filtered" lyrics on top of the image(s) or video(s) of your choice.
Do this by simply "Draging and Dropping"
You now have TOTAL control of how the background is Displayed!

* Add A Personal Touch To Each Song!
* Insert Announcements, Banners, Logos, or Advertisements ANYWHERE at ANYTIME!

MOVIE SCENE:
Have the Curtains open with the lyrics diplayed and curtains close at the end.
With Millions of choices... If done properly, I agree with Bill H.!

Kind Regards,
sw00000p

I don't think he wants a player that is capable of adding the image - that's what I thought at first too. He wants to create his own cdg's with the images already imbedded in the disc so he can take them to different shows.

I've been to a couple of shows that had it done so they could have their show name/gig on the screen at all times.

VERY annoying. And worse yet, their rips weren't done right, so there was pixelation involved ... I ended up walking away from the microphone halfway through the song. Couldn't read it!

Karafun IS fun to do that for a hosting situation, but I've also seen personally where karafun didn't recognize properly the song that was ripped... it closed ten seconds early for some unknown reason on some videos or .cdg ones. Not on all of them, but a few!

I don't have a solution for the clarified question from the original post (OP) on how to do it and burn it that way.
