I need to be able to remove the silence from the beginning of Karaoke songs for timing. Some of the songs have 20 seconds of dead air and some have none. My friends use the CDG's to do entertainment at nursing homes and they use the monitor so they don't have to memorize every song they do and to time the show right it is just too hard with the variance of lead time.

Hi Southern,
There is only (1) that I know of CDGFix. I own it and use it all the time, for the exact reason that you want to use it for. At first it appears to be etremely confusing (it can be as complicated as you want to pursue), but for silence removal you only need to learn a few basics. They have an automatic silence removal command, but that only removes silence up to the point of any graphics appearing on the screen. To remove more silence is an exercise in patience. Sound choice is one the easiest to remove the graphics and silence from. Remember that the exact amount of silence and graphics must removed in order to keep everything in synch. Cost is about $70...I have never regretted purchasing it. Ask Swoooop about it also. I also use it for removing and/or cropping those long winded musical breaks and outros from songs (ie: The Dance).

Hi, using CDGFix Super to remove silence is fast and easy.
Opening CDGFix Super displays the Player window (TOP) and Project window (BOTTOM)
1. Only use a Copy of a song to get your feet wet.
2. TOP WINDOW: Load a track - Select Tools / Timelline (Ctrl+L)
The song is displayed in a new diaolog box.
3. Put a CHECK mark in the box, Same As Graphics. This ensures audio and graphics
will be cut together. In Sync!
4. Simply Drag the Slider (Highlighting the UNWANTED area) and select 'CUT'
5. SAVE... That's it!
NOTE: You can Cut Anywhere. Use the 'Start' and 'End' Spinners,
(Highlighting the UNWANTED area) then Cut.
Move to another section, "Defined by the 'Start' and 'End' Markers and Cut.
Sounds scary, do it a couple of times... Piece of Cake!
Download the Demo. CDGFix.com
Kind Regards,
