Here Here (the real) DannyG. Gokey and Kris don't belong there - but again, the sheeple feel like they have to LOVE the person who wins, not respect their talent. Alison is an amazing talent and will probably benefit in perhaps as good a way as the winner will. Look at Daughtry last night - tremendous career having gotten knocked out with 4 remaining singers.

Adams "whole Lotta Love" song was amazing.

Just my opinion here but he is your idol winner regardless of the outcome. I've listened to the top four and there is nobody who has his range, quality, or charisma this kid has.

This deal is a total wild card anyway when you have the audience voting. So nobody is safe.

On pure talent Adam is the most gifted of the bunch. Even if he does not win he will be releasing an album in the near future.

Oooh Whose going home tonight?

It will be interesting for sure. I hated the song that was picked for Danny but I think he made up for it with his second song "You are so Beautful".

Chris did well I thought although he is not my fave.

Adam is starting to sound the same every week. I need something different. I think he should win, but I enjoy expecting the unexpected from him.

Fact is, personality is starting to enter into this too much - Poor Danny Gokey, Sweet Little Kris, and then the Renegade, Glambert. Based on pure talent, Adam is it - why would Simon have chosen him to work with on the judge's choice song? And at the end of the show Simon's statement regarding voting...don't assume Adam is in, you have to vote. The four judges, great talents themselves, recognize the "it" factor that Adam has, and I'm sure as much as they must remain unbiased, they are in it for Adam. Fact is, I have singers that come in that sing like Danny and Kris -I can't take a steady diet of it. I need excitement when I'm watching entertainment (not hosting).

Okay, I feel a whole lot better right now....I'm surprised that Gokey went home ... I think, and I think the judges felt too, that Kris should have gone home. Public is funny.

The 12 yr old girl vote is a huge factor. Little girls are taking over AI. LMAO

Did you hear when Seacrest said there were only 1 million votes seperating the top 2. Only? That seems like a big number to me.

I'm excited about next week. I'm hoping Adam knocks our feet from under us.

I hope he does as well. I'm still shocked that Gokey went home - but I believe that the voters figured he was safe, and they were trying to save Kris - same thing that put Adam in the bottom 3 that week...they were all saving Alison. I think Simon et al were extremely shocked that Gokey didn't outlast Kris.

I have great faith in Adam that he will pull it off - if it is based on talent. He realizes what he's up against.

Re: the one million separating the top two - are we sure it was Kris who had one million more, or was it the other way around? I don't think that was ever brought up. What we'll be dealing with next week is those ex Gokeys moving their vote to Kris. And as far as it being a million votes, there were 88 million votes cast...so if you look at it percentage wise, it's not much. (My husband voted solid for two hours...last year I would have scowled at that but this year it's all about Adam's survival!)

Those tweenies are a dangerous group - we can only hope that they'll all have to work on their homework and get to bed early since it's a school night! LOL.

Yep, we tivo'd it. When I heard him say it I had to hit rewind to double check I heard him right. He said the top 2 were only seperated by 1 million votes. But you are right if 88 million are voting it isn't that much. I haven't voted yet this yr. I usually wait til the final 2 to vote. I better start excercising my dialing fingers. LMAO

Yes, redialing is how they vote. You should only vote once. Some just have all the time in the world to redial and vote several times. I was rooting for Gokey (homeboy) and it seems the two emo guys got it. I generally don't watch that show but I catch the results on our news show at 9. Gokey had the largest audience ever for any AI contestant on the home town tour. 26,000 people came to see Gokey at the Summerfest grounds and many more than that saw him in the parade through Milwaukee.

Gokey is a very likeable dude. Too bad voting 'strategy' came into it - people were fearing that Kris would get knocked out and that Gokey was safe...

They really should make it a once-only vote event, but I've heard of people voting 500 times!

Wow I think this is the first yr the judges have been so bias. They might as well said to Kris tough luck you're going to lose.

It will be interesting to see what happens. I'm not going to underestimate the little girl vote this time. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Kris won because of it.

Tonights the 2 hour finale for 1 result. I'll be working so I'll have to Tivo it. I'm such an AI geek.

I can hardly stand the suspense. Vegas oddsmakers show Lambert but the tweenie vote is the one that'll make the difference I fear. If it goes for Lambert we'll see the tweenies crying and dropping to the floor in a weeping heap... I thought the judges did a good job of appearing to be unbiased. In any case, AL will have an amazing career. Rumor has it that David Bowie is on the line to sing a duet with Adam... now wouldn't THAT be amazing.

I know this for a fact - many who have never even considered watching this ratings juggernaut of a program have watched it this year because of Adam Lambert. I've never watched it until this year and probably won't ever watch it again, but it's been a great ride. It's good to be touched by such a talented performer.

Wow, that's great, no probably not legal... I watched him sing it last night again and really loved the arrangement. I have the Donnie Darko version and it's okay but the instrumentation in Adam's version is stellar.

OMG! I can't believe that Adam did not win!

I think Kris was more surprised than anyone. He (Kris) even said that Adam should have won after it was announced.

Adam dealt with it really well and I have a great deal of respect for the way he handled himself. I'm sure he was disappointed but I'm also sure he will be just fine. There are plenty of record deals in his future.

It will be interesting to see what Kris will do as the AI Star.

As for me this will be the last AI I will watch. It is all about who is popular with the 12yr old's and/or who is the underdog. AI has been headed down this path for quite some time now and unless they change the format somewhat to adjust for this, they will continue to lose their audience.

I'm so P.O.'d right now I better stop writing.

Wow, Flipper - I had to re-read your post because I thought at first I had written it! Precisely my thoughts. Yes this country appears to be run by tweenies now. I take great consolation in the fact that after the Queen number, Brian May was obviously pleased with what Adam did - and with Paul Rogers just NOT doing his job with Queen on their tour, it'd be just great to see May ask Adam to be part of that band....Adam definitely has Freddy Mercury potential.

I'm tired of Kris' self-deprecating attitude - yes, he knew Adam should have won. It was the Gokey swing vote that put Kris over the top. Yes, I'll stop now before I get out of hand with this. It's just aggravating as all get out.

Adam was very impressive on the Queen segment and he was equally as good with Kiss. I admit that Kris and Adam have opposing styles but there is really no comparison in raw talent and charisma. Adam seems to be a total natural and shows no fear when he performs it is almost like he was born to perform.

I'm not saying that Kris did not deserve to be in the finals because he is good and worked really hard to get himself to that point.

The other night both performers were separated by almost a million votes out of 88 million which seemed really odd to me considering the lopsided talent difference. It is amazing how the teenie-boppers controlled the outcome. When we were that age we did not have the ability to communicate like these kids can today and our opinion didn't count back then. Today it's all about the younger folks, and corporate America exploits that to the max.

In the finale I was picking up on some vibes from Simon and Paula that led me to believe that they already knew who was going to win the crown. The verbiage that they were using seemed to be sending a message to Adam that regardless of his finish, he was assured a recording contract. I began to feel like this thing was rigged.

I was not surprised to find out that many folks who voted for Adam via text line, got a response back that the vote had gone to Kris instead. A technical problem maybe, but it sure looks fishy.....

Oops I better get off my soap box and go to bed.

It was rigged. AI makes money off anyone who gets a recording contract out of this, and they wanted two stars this year, not one.

The guy who placed second was guaranteed success whether he won the contest or not. The first place winner needed some help. So he won.

Just kidding. I have no idea. I haven't watched AI all month. Just a jaded hunch.
