A friend recently purchased "Suspicious Minds" in the style of Dwight Yoakam in the Sound Choice format off of the 90's Male Country Vol. 5 CD for .89 cents. But it only downloaded an MP3. It did not come in a .zip file with the graphics like every other site. They claim it to be a karaoke song by Sound Choice but there are no graphics with it.

Can anyone explain?

Amazon only sells MP3s with no graphics--just like ITunes and Emusic. There are evidently only a few rare sites with the licensing to sell the songs with the graphics and Amazon does not claim to be one of them. Other people more knowledgeable will probably explain what you need in order to download the graphics off the other sites.

That said, the Amazon tracks can come in handy as "poor man's karaoke" where you just memorize the words and do it that way--adds a whole extra rush of adrenaline and terror to doing it in public . I'm going to be doing a new Pink song that way until my CDG version of it arrives.

Edit: When I was new to this site I didn't notice the "Search" function. It is to the left of the screen in the Member Area. You can probably search for the topics that covered how to download karaoke songs with graphics from the legal sites.

You can pretty easily make a real karaoke version with Karaoke Home Producer or the like, too. It is easy to find lyrics nowadays, of course.

Worse comes to worse, google the lyrics, format them on excel so they are big, print them, and tape them to the screen when the singing is going on.

Actually, just the static electricity on the screen keeps the paper up. But you have to be pretty close to read them.
