Hubby and I are going to be in LA week of 6/09 - 6/12, visiting kin and a band mate from years back. If I can talk the dudes into going out at least part of a night to sing (they're both pros, been in bands for years and years - busman's holiday maybe), I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a show near N. Hollywood on a Wed or Thur night? Maybe even Fri night?

Check your map for towns close to NH..

Many good shows are available in "The Valley"..

The Brass Monkey is worth a trip over the hill to "Korea Town" (Wilshire & Normandie)

Thanks JDM. Since I really don't know my way around there, I'm kind of at the whim of our host. I'll mention that to him.

Ive been told there are a couple good ones in BURBANK. Best thing to do is when u get down to the valley---find the nearest Karaoke bar and pick-up a copy of KARAOKESCENE Magazine. It lists venues ALL OVER LA, The Valley, Inland Empire, Orange County etc etc.

Or Email Peter Parker at the KS Office and see if he has a spare copy he could put in the US Mail and send to you.

Or just call him on the phone at the number under CONTACT US

Just click on CONTACT US

Manny Pachecho KJ's 2 down by Disneyland in Los Alamitos off Katella Avenue:
Mr. B's and The Starting Gate. Ive been to both those. If youre going to be down by Disney at all.

SwingcatKurt is right. Manny's shows are great. He was a former local radio DJ in the past, KEARTH101. His show isn't really near North Hollywood, only kinda close to Disneyland. I sing all over Los Angeles county, but mostly on the South to East side. Hollywood is on the North to West Side.

In the North Hollywood area there are a couple, I have been to the Foxfire, it is alright on Wednesdays, and Nora's has karaoke on Wed. & Thurs.

Like stated above, just go to one of the local joints, get a karaoke scene, and go hopping. There are tons of places near by.
