My wife and I are going to San Antonio the week of Tue July 28th through Sunday, Aug 2 for the wedding of one of my employees. We are staying downtown the first three days then moving out toward Canyon Lake over the weekend.

I don't recall anyone from San Antonio on the site, but not everyone posts locations and I know we have a lot of Texans.

If anyone has a show or knows of a good one, please let me know! I do very much enjoy meeting forum members.

Not my show but one I visited the other night.

Dad's Karaoke at 2615 Mossrock. Just outside Loop 410 on the North Side of town. You might have to google it to find it from downtown but it's not far. KJ is fast paced and crowd was pretty good on Tuesday night. Was my first time there.

Karaoke every night 6pm til 2am. (don't know how a kj can work those long hours).

Another one is Bunratty Pub at 4515 Fredericksburg Rd.
Karaoke on Thursdays nights 9:30 til 1:30 and then 7:30 am till ??? (Who gets up that early to do karaoke?)

Smaller crowd and KJ (Jerry) is a little layed back but does a good job, fair rotation, but doesn't use any hosting program, although he's been at it for over 15 years and is computer based.
If ya get to this one tell him Lonewolf sent ya he'll know who it is.

Not sure of any out by Canyon Lake.

It's hot down here been in the 100's everyday so dress cool.

Shift workers. We have a show that is Husband/Wife. Doug does the 8pm-midnight show, then they leave the equipment set up and his wife Lisa does an 8am-Noon show for the night shift.

Thanks for the helpful info, Lone Wolf. If you aren't totally lone, then if you tell us where you hang out on a night we might stop in....

Jerry does both shows.

I can be hard to find sometimes depends on my wife's work schedule and mine too.

We do try and make the Thursday night shows if everything is going right.

If I'm there I'll be about the only one who wears a cowboy hat.

Then I will plan to visit Bunratty's on Thursday -- if all goes right for me too. My partner and his wife will be there. I know they will want to (or I will make sure they want to) go out to karaoke one night, so maybe we can all load into one car and make it then.

We'll be the couples who looks like we came from Minnesota and Wisconsin -- all Swedes or Norwegians (with a little Irish and German thrown in).

Well Y'all will fit right in Bunratty is an Irish pub and most of the folks around here are either Hispanic or German backgrounds. Even my wife (who is not from Texas) she is Pennsylvania Dutch/German.
Then again we are the largest military city in the US so there's no telling what you might run into.

Me I'm Native American/French with some English thrown in.

Well, as you know, we fit in just fine. We had a great time meeting you and your lovely wife Linda. What a friendly place!

We had a great time, and look forward to coming back next year!
