Did a Windows update the other day, now all of a sudden winamp stopped working. So I reinstalled Winamp and the MP3G plugin

BUT

Winamp does not play Zipped CDGs anymore. It says PLAYBACK ENDED whenever I try to play one.

I have a major gig tomorrow, and while I do have a backup, it's on Vista and not my preferred laptop-

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Go look under options - preferences - general preferences - file types and make sure zip files are included as a file type to be recognised.

Thanks for the quick response

ZIP doesn't show as an option on this version of Winamp.

Also, which specific Plugin should I be using? I have so many saved, I am a little confused which one I should be using.

Thanks

Vic in Sydney.

If zip file was not listed then you need to reinstall the in_zip plugin.
If you don't have it here is the link --> http://www.nunzioweb.com/daz/files/in_zip_v0_6_8_5.exe

After installing you will still have to go and select zip files as a type to be recognised.

Are you using Winamp alone or are you using the Autokj plugin, or Sax N Dotty, or Rox Box?

Hi RLC

You were right, it was the in_zip plugin. I don't remember ever specifically installing in_zip, but I did it just now and it works just fine.

Thanks a lot for helping out. Thanks to anyone else who respnded.

This is a great forum!

If you ever installed autOKdj it would have installed the in_zip plugin.

an important thing to remember when upgrading Operating Systems is many times the drivers have to be updated for individual softwares...
