I have tried the demos of a few of the CD+G ripping programs out there to put my discs on my HDD and have not decided which one to get.

I may have been spoiled by the way the old (pre Yahoo!) Music Match worked with my CDs... but I am looking for one that functions in much the same way.

What is the general choice as the best "NON Platform Specific" program. Should I need to replace my PCDJ software with another brand down the road, I don't want to have to re-ripp everything.

I recommend PowerKaraoke CDG Burner/Ripper. Costs $40.00 ($80 in a bundle with a very good play,Siglos).

You can get a good free one at www.kjtools.com.

MTU Microstudio is another that works well with most drives. Works with all of my drives.

Here is another free one as well.
http://www.karaokeware.com/CDGRip.html - Doesn't work with 2 of my 5 drives.
