Matt passed away last night of an apparent heart attack according to his wife. I know he was active in this forum, so I wanted to help get the word out to the community.
Condolences to his wife and family...

this is just so sad.. I'm in shock  I've already left my condolences on his facebook page, prayers and deepest sympathies to his friends and family

Just read Ruthie's post over at facebook. I'm in shock and so sad to hear this news. Matt was one of the first people I met here and we had kept in touch through facebook. His straight forward opinions and helpful presence will be very much missed.
My deepest condolences to all of his loved ones.
RIP Matt.

Like Sheree I read the terrible news on Matt's Facebook page and I'm in shock. Matt was a valuable member of this forum and such a nice guy, he'll be missed greatly. God bless you and your family Ruthie

I also just caught this news on Facebook.
How tragic... Matt was such an "alive" person, this is a shock.
Deepest sympathies to his family, he will for sure be missed around here.

I am also in shock. I will miss him on the forum very much. I have never met others that I communicate with on the forum, but there are several of you that I feel like I know on some level, so I almost feel like I've lost a friend. Matt makes the fourth person I know from karaoke that has passed away in the past two weeks. It's been a hard two weeks for me. He will be missed.  _________________ It's called Karaoke Therapy...

I never met Matt, but I enjoyed reading his posts, and felt that he was truly a singer's KJ. He will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Perhaps someone could past the link to this thread on Ruthie's Facebook so that she will be able to see the condolences form those of us aren't connected through Facebook.
I'm saddened at the loss. He had much to contribute and will definitely be missed on this board.

I've only been a member here for a short time but got a true sense that Matt was a true stand up guy. I will miss his feedback for sure.

OMG... I've only known him since I joined the site and he has had quite a bit of feedback for me.
He was a stand-up guy and a major asset to this site... he will be greatly missed.
I propose everyone running or going out tonight do a song in his honor.

I can't believe it!!!! Matt was so sensitive and passionate about everything he did. I actually had the pleasure of meeting him 2 years ago (on his Birthday) (it was a surprise visit that Ruthie and I set up). Ruthie, my condolences go out to you....
Matt, now you can finally meet Maryann and be kindred spirits.

So very sad to hear this news. My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Matt was one of those guys who just seemed to be so straight forward and honest in his approach to karaoke and life in general. He will be missed greatly. RIP

wow i just read this....i had just sent Matt a song he was going to try and get the vocals out i was wondering why he never got back to me...unreal....seemed like a really nice guy...RIP my friend
