Well Thursday night was a rousing success! Biggest rotation yet as it got over 20 long! Both rooms of the bar were full and everything went well. Didn't have a lot of good singers but everyone was having a great time, people were dancing and the drinks were being replenished often! KingBing was requested to do his rendition of Piano Man with his harmonica.

The best part of the night??? I counted 6 singers who I used to see at a karaoke bar I used to sing at (pirate kjs) and I asked a couple why they came and they told me they had heard about our sound and our lights.

I hope things stay this way. I received a call this morning to provide my services tonight.

Good for you!! Sometimes be careful what you wish for....I am so thankful when I have a shorter rotation. Mine usually reaches 25+ on the week-end, and that's when it gets stressful. That's when people start begging to skip, complaining that they have to wait, and giving me the long story about how they are so good and will bring down the house, etc. It can get very irritating. That's why I love my Sunday show. It's slower. Like 15 singers or so.

Anyway, if you're happy, we are too. You go buddy!!!

Great job, ripman! Isn't it fun when you have a good night like that?
I know I always enjoy a good night. Glad to see you picked up some singers from a pirate show. Good on ya!

Thanks everyone, I was actually getting jealous listening to some of the rotation issues on this forum. At least you had a rotation! Kind of like my sophomore year in hs. I was a puny 88 pound weakling on the wrestling team and never had to cut weight, all the others would starve themselves and then binge after weighins, I was jealous. Stupid eh?

Anyway, yes I had one issue. The bartender who usually sings once a night late wanted me to bump him up. I refused. He said "it's your show, you work here, you can do it." I said no, read the rules in the book. I don't want to pizz anyone off.

Once I shut the requests off, the last guy requested closing time and asked me to sing it. It wasn't bad and it was cool to close with that song!

Oh, my junior year, I came in at 116 and had to shed 18 lbs to make weight. Didn't like that diet thing afterall!
