Matt, you were one of the first people I "met" on this forum. You were always available to help me with my recording equipment whenever I had a question or problem. I'm glad I got to know just a little part of who you are. This forum will never be the same without you. There are few people here who I consider a friend. You were definitely one of them and I was hoping to meet u next year when I tour the U.S. Visiting different karaoke spots. I'm so glad I was lucky enough to do a duet with you. I will be sure to sing one for you next time I'm out. R.I.P. My friend.

Like a few others, I haven't been here long, but I learned plenty from him and I'm very grateful for it.
I found him to be very welcoming, knowledgable, helpful and passionate about what he did.
Shocking news. Condolences to his family & friends.

So very, very sad. Godspeed Matt. Your dedication to the business and your willingness to contribute great advice will be missed by all who frequent this board. I'd like to extend my wishes of peace and condolences to Matt's family as well in this sad time.

WOW! Unbelievable! Matt was one of the FEW KJ's I would specifically go see and spend time at his shows here in Portland.
He also made an EXCELLENT magazine story interview!
http://www.positivelyentertainment.com/ ... queen.html
This one i got to do in our local Porltland mag.
I also was fortunate enough to be able to do a KARAOKESCENCE MAGAZINE feature spotlight article for the KS mag which as pretty much a full page article
His gig at The Queen Of Hearts bar a few blocks from my house made it easy and convenient to go visit him. Ill make a point of stopping by there and let them know whats happened.
Very depressing news!

I really don't know what to say that hasn't already been covered. Matt always had something positive to say. He was good for an honest opinion and had a ton of experience having already had most of our problems in the past. without a doubt his contributions here will be missed.

I'm very sorry to hear that, too. I got to know Matt as a straight forward shooter and very passionate in what he was doing. And even though I did not always agree with him, I respected his opinion. RIP Matt.

We had our differences, but it's the differences that make life worth living, and forums worth posting in. I hate it when people go. RIP Matt.

Thank you, Harry for posting the link for Ruthie. I knew it would mean a lot to her to see it.
Ruthie, I haven't been on the forum long, but your husband was a wonderful contributor, and even in his last post to me, the day he passed, it contained some great advice to me that will be taken to heart. He also had a great sense of humour that I'm sure you will cherish always. He never missed the subtle humour in my posts and was oftentimes the only one to pick up on it.
He truly will be missed more than you know. I am still in shock. His passing has reminded me of how truly mortal we all are. Here today, gone tomorrow.
Bless you Ruthie, in this difficult time.

OMG.....I just found this. My sincere condolences to Matt's family and friends.
Matt was a good guy. Helped me out alot when I first came here. Always had a level headed response to anything and offered wise advice willingly.
I'm really saddened by this. RIP bud.
