Uncle Wally's is like most any other big box store in that they will only stock what they can sell a lot of, and I do mean a lot of. I usually find the lesser selling but still in demand items of most anything at locally established regional stores or business's that the big stores are trying to slowly squeeze out. I spend about 50% to 65% of my food dollars at Wal-mart and the rest at my locals as Wal-mart refuses to sell many things I happen to like and will not compromise on. I want to buy what I want and not what they want to sell me.

You know if you only knew what I knew about Walmart, you would never ever shop there again. I used to be in mid-management and learned way too much. Support your local grocery stores and keep the money at "home". Just my opinion.

I hear you Mr Scott. I shop at my local Albertson's and rarely go to Wal Mart. Unfortunatly I went into my Albertson's yesterday evening and they are now another victim of Wal Mart. They are closing their doors at the end of the month. Now I will have to drive almost 10 miles to get to another grocery store. I am pretty bummed.

Isis,,,that is not cool. But typical of how Wallyworld does business..put the competition out of business and then raise prices. It has already happened here. The eternal story of the golden rule,,,he who has the gold makes the rules. The rich getting richer at the expense of the small guy.

Exactly Mrscott... I will drive a long ways NOT to shop at Wal Mart. It is sad how they do business. They just do not care. Before Ray Walton died it was bad but since his death it has gotten rediculous...

Who needs Walmart?
I used to only go there for cheap undies and socks for the boys, Lol. (try keeping 3 teenage boys in decent shoes, socks, and underwear... not cheap) I prefer to do my clothes shopping at Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, and Hollister. (though Macy's has some cool jeans)
Groceries at the local Thriftway or Safeway. Walmart bores me, though I really wish I'd never have sold my stock I had from working there in the late 90's when the kids were all small... what a bad choice that was. (not leaving the job... selling the stock a few years later)

And Cindy... you just HAD to mention chips and nacho cheese. Now I want Mexican Food. Anyone want to go with me to Nuevo Vallarta? (oh yeah, you're buying)
Oh, and I'm off topic:
Campbells soup? I don't eat it, I hate canned stuff. I just eat out, then I don't know if it's canned or not, so it doesn't bother me:)
(and... no cooking and no dirty dishes either) Win-win for me. (or is that win-win-win?)
