You request to join the KJ group, and one of the mods approve it and give you access. I got a message letting me know I had access.

In the member area is the User Groups. There should be a kj group in the drop down. Once you get there you need to hit join the group. It will then send a message stating that someone is requesting to join the group that I can approve from there.
Also you DO in fact need to be a kj. If you don't run or host a show, then access cannot be granted.
