Is there a program that will print JUST the disc numbers, not what's on them? I need to list inventory and I don't need to print all the songs as well. It would be a massive waste of paper and ink. Thanks in advance!
Cheers!

I have my list in excel and access. Although both can do it, Access is especially adept at printing different forms. You may have dozens of columns of data, but you can create a form to print out only the columns you want, and in any format you desire.

I use one database and I just have different forms for ARTIST or TITLE formats. I leave off the numbers in my books, but I can create a new form that includes the numbers at any time.

Even if you use a songbook program right now, you can probably export to .CVS or .XLS format to bring into excel.

From Excel you can either print directly from Excel, using on the columns you want, or send it to Access.

KJ pro has a printout for that (lists them by manufacturer) and I have made the suggestion to Latshaw Systems (Song List Generator) that they include a feature like that as well.

I have KJPro. I just never took the time to learn it. I find it rathe confusing. I went with KSLC for this system's books, but I don't really like the format. I guess I'll have to quit putting it off and sit down and slog through figuring out KJPro. <sigh>

Don't all of those programs have an output-to-XLS format? If so, you can PM me for my email. Then send me the XLS and I will send you back a list of just the disks in return. (I can write a script in 2 minutes that would transform them.)

If I have a tab-delimited file, on Linux you just use the following command line:

perl -pe 's/-.*//' songlist.txt | sort -u

Thanks! I will do that. I need the list for my "new" system that I intend on renting out. The list of discs will be a part of the rental contract, just in case any go missing.
I appreciate it. Cheers!
