You could advertise on your scrolling marquee, after the singers names, you could have messages about upcomming events, drink specials, happy birthday, or whatever.

Hoster actually has a scrolling marquee for announcements that you can change & a separate singer list of upcoming singers that also can be displayed.
I only use the WMP for a slide show that I created with Movie Maker that shows people singing & partying throughout the years of the club on the house tv's between songs. Also made some basic announcements of stuff like tip your bartender and what not into little graphics that appear every few pics so they do get shown at some points in the night. The slideshow only lasts for 45 minutes and continually repeats all night.

Exactly. Some programs I found won't work in full screen mode on the extended screen, but if you don't 'max' size the screen & just manually size it to fit the screen it works fine. The cdg words will appear over it & then disappear when the song is over so the show continues showing between songs.

I use Compuhost, and use its slide show feature to accomplish exactly what you are looking for. I created several image slides (jpg) and created a slide show that runs continuously between singers. I'm advertising myself right now, but I'm looking into selling the advertising to others... we'll see.

As for Sax and Dottie, you might check out some of the free slide show apps available online...however you will have to manually juggle when the slide show appears to keep it from hiding the lyrics during a performance.

I also run Sax N Dotty. For slide show / ads inbetween singers I use this program by Cavs http://www.cavsusa.com/product/pc_player/sp.htm

I bought it and also use it to play customer cdgs in a plexter external, however if you don't intend to use it as a player and only want to use the slide show capabilities you do not need to purchase it, that feature of the program is fully functional with out registration required.

Drag the screen over to monitor 2 and double click to full screen, it will stay there running in a loop, even behind the lyrics screen when playing a karaoke song and will be there, full screen, when the karaoke song is over.

Check it out also.
