Love Story
Bring Me to Life
My Immortal

Kiss Me and Apologize are big too, but I think that is 2007

Best initial reaction to a new song I've had in a long time was last night to "I'm In Miami (@$%&#!)" - LMFAO. Yadirah and Carlos had even the outside smokers pour back into the bar and onto the dance floor. Thanks guys! - :D

This one's going to be coming up a lot in the next few weeks.

Here's the new ones (less than two years old) that I've been getting a lot of play time out of (not in order, but definitely the top 10).

Chicken Fried - Zac Brown Band
She's Country - Jason Aldean
Pokerface - Lady GaGa
On a Boat - Lonely Island
It Happens - Sugarland
Use Somebody - Kings of Leon
In Color - Jamey Johnson
The More I Drink - Blake Shelton
Gun Powder & Lead - Miranda Lambert
And any of the myriad of Taylor Swift Songs but most recently a lot of requests for "You belong with me"

Not sure he's "made it" beyond the UK's shores yet - but a guy called Dizzee Rascal is huge over here at the moment and his songs seem really popular at our bars. Particularly the one called "Bonkers"!

This is the song in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJ5bXRjPovw

Would be interested to know if you guys can understand any of the words...!

Also popular at the moment are Taylor Swift, Pixie Lott, Kings Of Leon and Beyonce's "Single Ladies".

So WHO else and WHAT other fairly new songs are being sung at your shows?

...would like to keep this informative thread alive for everyones benefit.

Learning newer songs keeps karaoke shows FRESH and attracts potential younger clientele for the future, imho. :D -john

Hello All,
while the new songs are always 'hot' it's the standards that STAY ALIVE.

In 3 years nobody will care about Beyonce putting a ring on her finger :o

The songs that are staples are:

Sweet Caroline
Love Shack
Summer Nights
Friends In Low Places
I Love This Bar
The Dance
Bobby McGee
Unchained Melody
Hotel California
and
I Got You Babe

Okay, I really don't qualify as people don't even do new Brad Paisley at our oldies/country venue but I will play just to help with the "bump."

The artist from this century that gets the most play from more than one person is Nickelback. STrange but true.
