I've been lurking for a while so I figured and finally figured I'd sign up for an ID. I recently got back into the whole DJ thing when the local VFW was looking for someone to do a Karaoke night for them. It's went over extremely well and I've been busy buying and upgrading gear with the money that I'm making.

Right now I'm using a set of Peavey PR15's, 2 Yamaha Club series 18" Subs, 2 Crown 602 amplifiers, and a rack of other goodies (mixer, EQ, crossover, etc).

Semper Fi Mate... Most posts are hard to get a younger crowd coming in as regulars. Turn the lights off in the big medal and honor display cases at night if you have a bunch of them on the walls.

Welcome Aboard..

As stated above young people are hard to attract. Some VFW clubs are still managed by officers of the post. They need to learn how to turn the post into a bar at nights and have BUD signs and dimn the lights. There is a time to party and a time to honor.

This post has dollar longnecks on Saturday night so that in itself draws a pretty good crowd. I have some Karaoke regulars, but for the most part it's just people out to have a good time so I mix some music in after every couple of sets...

Oh yeah, since I belong to the Marine Corps League, I also give my tips to Toys for Tots. Towards the end of the night on a dollar longneck night we tend to get some nice donations 8)
