I don't want to see it. You totally work in a different venue than me. My customers would think it was disgusting. We have craploads of fun at Halloween, and it doesn't have anything to do with seeing anyone's bare chest or guys drooling because they get to lick them. How sick!! (ooh...I finally get to use this cute little smiley)

You must have quite a crowd. There are so many respectful ways to have a blast. If you need to see them and touch them that much, or have someone else see them and touch them, someone would surely be willing to get a room with you. Of course, I guess some people are that desperate.

Not prudish in the least, but I'm of the belief that what normally (in MY world, anyway) happens in the bedroom should stay there.
Because I personally choose not to view these kinds of disrespectful (IMO) acts that makes me a prude?
I also choose not to view violent films. I think there's enough violence in real life and I simply don't think it's entertainment. Does that make me a prude too?
I said I would leave an establishment that had that kind of "entertainment" going on.
The way I see it, it only makes me true to my moral standards.

#1: Does anyone remember the guy who tried to pull off a NUDE karaoke night? IT was about 2 years ago if I remember. IN the end, about 120 people signed up to participate, and ONE actually showed up and participated - a GUY from the local nudist colony. Careful what you wish for!

#2: Toplessness for women has been roundly upheld as LEGAL by the US Supreme Court. It is still illegal in many states, and women get arrested for it all of the time, but, sadly, Federal trumps State.

#3: Due to the public sexual contact involved, what GeminiMale describes above as a crazy karaoke show is classified by the state of Kansas as LEWD AND LASCIVIOUS BEHAVIOR, a Class B Misdemeanor punishable by up to 2 years in prison. IF someone under the age of 18 witnesses the act, then it is a Class 9 Felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and all parties involved are required to register with the state as sex offenders. If someone under 16 witnesses the act, it is a Class A Felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison and all parties involved are required to register with the state as VIOLENT sex offenders

I know you have the best intentions, but I don't think it is worth it!

You need to know the limits of your venue and management.
YES !!! Sex does sell ...to certain demographics.
Only you know if what you do FITS. If it does ...keeping pushing the limits until you either get busted or punched out !!!

Since you mentioned it a few times...do you have any problems with your "preferances" regarding your venue or show ?

Speaking of lewd and lascivious ... our area has a TON of drive-through espresso joints (probably more than anywhere else in the country - at last 2-3 in every block wherever you go) and lately one company, owned by one gentleman, was the target of prostititon chargs for the very thing you're talking about, G.... Girls were spraying each other with whipped cream and licking it off in the view of their lovely patrons, who would then proceed to tip profusely. Over six months they managed to get enough proof to bring these charges. These girls wear pasties, lingerie, g-strings, you name it, in the name of increased profit. I'm not so sure that a bare torso is such a good idea when working around steaming hot machines and boiling water, but hey, if it makes money, just do it. Kind of like your karaoke show - if it brings the patrons in, just do it. Good luck with that. BTW, must have a lot of gay women in your neck of the woods because I can't imagine straight women standing around cheering ... maybe I'm wrong?

No doubt your event will attract a certain element. I'll be happy to ship all of that element to Kansas from here for you to entertain.

Ok, I don't see this as a big deal. Different strokes........ My first 3 years I was a Kj I played 2 nights a week at a Nudist camp. and they always got plenty pf applause. Most nights the shows went more than 8 hours.

I guess to me this is a lot like smoking in bars, if you don't like it don't attend. Personally I only go to non-smoking bars and resturaunts.

We have a strip bar here in PORTLAND (Source of ALL KARAOKE GOODNESS) just around the corner from my house that on Sunday nights has stripper karaoke where a dancer will dance nude on stage with you while youre singing. Its different having a nude dancer slithering around the dancer pole while your trying to concentrate on the mic and words!!

This would be an illegal action in WA bars. If a bar held such an event they could lose their license & be fined. Even in the strip clubs, patrons are not allowed to touch the dancers in any way - not to say it doesn't happen, just not allowed by law.

Apparently it was the touching that got the prostitution charges brought onto the baristas. I'll try and find the story and post a link.

I heard that story too, it was also them being paid 'extra' tips to flash the customers.

My sister who works for Washburn University says Salinas is boring, I guess not so much anymore. I can't speak for the laws in your city, but around here you'd be in a heep o trouble, boy, a HEEP o trouble. Basically, nudity aside, peopel will be eating off of the skin of a human. Even at those Japanese Nude Sushi bars, there is Saran Wrap covering the body parts food comes in contact with. Health Officials might take offense at this for good reason.

If it sells ..and bring people in Ill do it ..you should have been here Valentines Day for the Gemini Karaoke Lingerie Pillow Fight..matter of fact its come back again..soon..some time..Karaoke wont do it..or having a DJ wont do it..so you got to have something for everyone..lets just say Ill try anything once...
