I do not understand why karaokescene does not feel that pertinate information regarding karaoke as a whole should not be discussed on the open forum.
It's like squelching health care debates in public.
However, karaokescene is a private entity & has the right to edit and/or delete anything they want.
Kurt is posting on ODJT - Perhaps we can all go over there...

I sent a PM to JIan about the same thing. I enjoy reading these topics to find out what is going on in the karaoke world and now because I'm not a working KJ, I don't get the info. Seems like they could have just made another Forum for piracy talk instead of putting them all in the private KJ forum?

There is nothing to prevent any members from joining the KJ forum. Just signed up. You don't need to pay. Just because a member is not a working KJ does not disqualify him from signing up. Someone may want to be a Kj and need to learn more.
I moved those thread there for not just because of request from sr. members but also so that more people will make use of the KJ forum and not just post in the main forum.

Jian,
If the "KJ Only Private Forum" is no longer really going to be for KJ's Only, NOR a "private forum"... please remove it back to the public area since it has the impression of being a private forum (when it is no longer private) and for "KJ's ONLY" (which it is no longer, but instead for the general public.)

It is a private forum because you need to sign in. There is nothing to prevent any member from signing up to be part of the KJ Forum; it has always been that way. Like wise there is nothing to prevent someone from pretending to be a KJ and signing up there.If some one become a 'bad' member of that forum, it is easier to block him from that forum without banning him from KS.

I'm in agreement.
A "KJ Only" forum should be just that, For KJ's Only. Kurt Slep is NOT a KJ and should be there. Nor should anyone else who's not a KJ.
Otherwise, it's kind of a moot point having it as a KJ Only forum, isn't it?
Then it's no difference between that and the main karaoke forum is there?
So the point is of having a "KJ Only" forum is...????
As for moving the pirate threads there, why did you do that?
You effectively cut off anyone who cared to contribute to those threads that didn't belong to the KJ Only forum and forced them to join that forum, KJ or not.
The threads should have stayed right where they were. They were pertaining to Karaoke, and they were conversations that any and all could contribute to with meaning.
Just because one or two people didn't like the threads, doesn't mean they should have been moved.
Like others on here have said time and time again: If you don't like a thread or what a certain poster has to say, DON'T READ IT!!!
It's very simple, children!
As for "forcing" us to make more use of that forum, personally, if and when I want to make use of it, I will, but please don't try to force it on me.
Not cool, IMHO.

Jees you can't win for losing. Kurt was added simply because the thread directly involved Sound Choice & he is responding.
Yes you do need to be a kj - past or present. I don't see the issue with those threads being moved. I personally see it as more of a kj issue to begin with anyway.

It's not a matter of "winning for losing." It's simply a matter (to me) of labeling the forum what it truly is.
IF it's for KJ's ONLY then that's the way it should be, if it's for KJ's AND Manufacturer's only then it should be labeled that way. Otherwise, the qualifications and membership requirements implied are misleading.
