What do you dress up as for Halloween? I am going as the Capt. Morgan Pirate it's a lot of fun and is great for bar promotions. What are some of the best costumes you have seen for karaoke singers?

Funny you should ask. I had a illegitimate operator (IO) - new terminology, come into town about a year and a half ago. 14 shows (3 at any one time) boasting 75,000 songs per show. He's a shady character with a questionable past. His ex used to come to my shows sometimes until she moved.
Last year I dressed up as him. He's quite the character and wouldn't dare show his face in my venue ... For all I know he was none the wiser and he was two blocks away at the time, putting on a crappyoke show like usual.

I'm going to be a pirate this year. There wasn't any huge thought behind the decision. I have a cool pirate hat I wanted to wear. Maybe I'll put a hard drive on my shoulder like a parrot. I'm sure I could buy a cheap one on craig's list.

One of the most unique costumes I've seen at karaoke, was a woman with a small table around her waste, with a clock, and a vase, and a few other things glued down on it. She also had (around the back, a lamp tube, leading to the lampshade over her head, and the lamp really lit up (battery operated). I kept wondering what she was supposed to be, so when she came up to sing, I told her "nice costume, but what are you supposed to be", she said, "I'm a (one) nightstand.
By the way, she won the costume contest.

You must have met my friend Tammy!!! She dressed like that at one of my Halloween shows (2 or 3 years ago). She also had a Rubber on the nightstand (which fell off, and she started asking people if they had seen her Rubber).

We don't have pirates in Canada, we have privateers.

Cueball, it was about three years ago, but I doubt if it was your friend, unless she traveled to Wisconsin. By the way, the rest of her "costume" was a sheer negligee, with a teddy underneath. Think that could have helped her win?

I guess I'll dress up like I do every year. I'm kind of a small guy, so I buy a king sized pillow case, cut a hole in the top for my head, and two more for my arms. Then I draw a bunch of lines, and necessary spaces on it. I fill in a few names of my singers, song titles, and disk numbers, and go as a sign-up sheet.

last year i was a pimp, Man those shoes looked fly! (but hurt like he!!). I was hoping to re use that one this year, but im only a block away. so I am going as a wet T shirt contest winner..ill shave the beard but keep the stash. just to keep it authentic for wisconsin. its a nifty fake pair with a really shear top over. and a long blond wig. Ill be game for the "ill show ya mine" offers .

We did that on Halloween of 2001. I chased her around the bar singing Sam the Sham and The Pharaoh’s "Little Red Riding Hood" while she dropped her hooded cape to reveal a very sexy little red cocktail dress and handed out candy to the audience from her goody basket.
Last year was King Arthur and Guinevere, This Year I think I'll dress as Zorro. I'm not sure what Michele will do yet.
