Can someone help me find what is causing a intermittent sound.It sounds like a small electrical fuzzy sound. It's there for a second or two then gone.This is my system.
Lenovo G530 Laptop.
Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Amigo USB Sound Card.
Acer x19 Wide screen LCD Monitor.
Behringer xenyx 1202FX Mixer.
Behringer Super x Pro CX2310 Crossover.
Two Crown XLS 402 Amps Both Bridged One For Mains And One For Sub.
Two Yamaha BR 15".
One Peavey PV 118 Sub.
The sound has no Pattern Comes and Goes When Ever.

Do you have a cell phone?

Edit: No - I'm not trolling . . .

Sometimes the cabling on a sound system can pick up when some cell phones broadcast an acknowledgment of an incoming call. I've got one regular with a phone like that, and the whole place will hear the sound and call out, "Debbie, your phone's ringing!"

Does it just have this problem in this one venue? That may tell you if the problem is some interference your picking up from the location.

Start with unplugging the mics. If the noise is still there you may want to consider replacing cables in your rack and see if that get it. If the problem is not in any of your cables, you now have backup cables, something every KJ should have anyway.

Have you checked to see if it corresponds with a light on the laptop like disk activity?

Have you tried the internal sound card?

Do you have microphones installed during this operation?

Have you tried changing channels on the mixer?

That sounds like interference from the computer itself. I bet you have a ground loop. Make sure your system is properly grounded. You can also try putting a ground loop isolator in between your system and the output.

Can you generate the sound at will? Checking cables is probably best. Are all your cables direclty conected (no adapters or other piece that interferes with link) I used to have a 1/4 to xlr pigtail that started generating interference noise just like you describe (fuzzy). It would be very random but annoying nonetheless. Once I eliminated those adapters I've been noise free. Wireless mics? I found that older A/T mics have a squelch on them and if set too high can make same noise at certain distances
