For My "Day job" Im a heavy truck / trailer mechanic for the largest "private" fleet in the usa. mostly I do annual federal inspections on trailers. also a lot of wheel seals and brake jobs on the trailers.
My other hobby is local stock car racing. late this summer i finished building my newest car, it took me two years, but i never worked hard at it. Its quite a costly hobby, so thankfully my karaoke hobby does make ok money to try to cover it.
Im also a full time step dad. Now THAT'S a tough job! the 13 year old girl is quite difficult. the boys at least have some rational thoughts.

For me, in my "day time life" I am one of he evil cable guys.... 
The wife is a legal loan shark (aka payday loan mgr).
We have another couple that works for us, he is a farm machinery mechanic and she is a pharmacy tech.
So if your cable is out, you need some quick money or drugs, or your tractor don't run, give me a shout....

My son-in-law builds stock cars -- is kind of well known in this area for his cars. In fact, generally if you look in the winner's circle, the best looking car and the winning driver are usually the product of his endeavors. I'm very proud of him. Yes, it is an expensive hobby. He has several drivers he builds cars for, from ground up. Wish I had a pic to post.

Greetings, all!
New to the forums, but I have to post SOMEWHERE to get my stripes, so here goes...
By day, I'm a semi mild-mannered owner/operator of a local gaming store. We specialize in non-traditional board games, role-playing games, and trading card games (Magic: the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc). We regularly host in-store game events, and other special events such as Boy Scout troop meetings (we offer a program that helps scouts earn merit badges & belt loops for collecting, primarily directed at sports cards). I have been an on-again, off-again KJ for some years now, and am currently in the process of replacing all the audio equipment I have sold off, thinking (once again) that I was out of the profession. I plan to rebuild my basic setup for parties, being that the season is upon us and I can recoup much of the expense involved by running some holiday shows.
And there ya go...
