Hi all
New guy here on the boards and I was looking for some help
A little about me I have been in the DJ business for over 20 yerars ...I added karaoke to my DJ service way back...remember Laser discs . I continued to buy cdgs and stopped in 1999 as I wasn't getting many calls for it
Long story made short we recently did our website over and we have been getting calls for karaoke ..so I have been ripping my old discs to my harddrive as I currently use virtualdj
I currently use audio grabber to rip my Karaoke discs ...however some of the discs are not in the FREEDB database..so here comes the question ...
Is there any ripping software out there to rip cdgs using the CDDB database or another database that may work for me ?
Thanks in advance
Ed

I'm sure that there is one out there but I'm not sure CDDB has karaoke.
I think it's only for CD's or DVD's could be wrong though.
I have found only a few discs that weren't in freedb and have typed them in and submitted them to freedb. You could help us all out by doing the same.
I use Power Karaoke and it work great for me.

If the discs you are ripping are listed in KJPro, you can use MP3GToolz to rename them for you. You just have to name them with the disc-track number (i.e. PHN0804-01) and MP3GToolz will do the rest when you click on "rename files from internet"

Ok I think I figured out the problem ...I think you need to own the KJ Pro software to be able to have mp3+G toolz rename it for you.
What I was doing was copying and pasting from KJ Pros song database ...sorry if I misled anyone
On a side note a karaoke jock that I know mentioned Tip N Zip a $5 progam
