We're keen to show that through the power of song we can raise money for a number of charities - so we're holding a Charioke Marathon!

10 straight hours of karaoke, from 1pm - 11pm, with all participants raising sponsorship money for their respective charities beforehand. The more they raise, the more humiliation they're willing to endure - e.g., allowing themselves to be filmed and uploaded to YouTube and so on.

The response has been fantastic - I just hope the singers can keep going for 10 hours!

Great idea !

You shouldn't have any trouble doing 10 hours. I do shows that last for 6-7 hours, so I think 10 hours is perfect for a marathon. Let us know how it goes and good luck !

What was that Karaoke Endurance Record that someone tried to break last year?

Maybe you can extend your "Charioke" to more than 10 hours, and make it an endurance show... you'll get more donations for sure.

Hmm, "Karaoke World Record" does have a nice ring to it...
