I actually sing a huge variety of songs, maybe a couple hundred or more. But the one that seems to get the biggest response, and everyone tells me it's my best is Barry Whites-Can't Get Enough Of Your Love. Funny thing, i'm actually only a tenor, not a bass. So I sing it in my own style. I also do Billy Vera and the Beaters - At This Moment, in my own way and it seems to be a biggie.

Isn't it great that a band like Journey does music that is singable by females? I do Separate Ways and a few others, and they are such a great crowd pleaser. Just hearing the intros gets people "up." One of the best bands ever, I think. I'm glad they're still going strong...and I love their new singers.

I have an original written by a friend of mine who has been inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in Nashville. I get some air time from this one after recording it, and I get asked to do it quite often. My fiddle player played for a long time for Ray Price, so any of Prices' tunes are always a hit, especially "Heartaches by the Number." Anything by Merle Haggard goes over well. Most often requested songs for me are by George Strait. I am doing a big show on Halloween at the Horeshoe Arena in Midland, Texas. I was asked by the promoter to please plan on singing about 4 hours of Strait's songs. People love it when I do his music. It relates to me really well, I am true Texan from head to toe. When I get to go do karaoke at my friend's show from time to time, I am always asked to do Strait's songs as well.--Mike

Actually, I'm lucky I can do Journey songs. I've had to work really hard at getting my voice in shape enough. After my surgery to remove nodes many years ago, I lost a good portion of my range. I usually get "stuck" doing only guys songs....

Again... depends on the venue and the crowd.

At Babs' show.. "Tarzan Boy" by Baltimora.

At Poor Richard's Pub in Gurnee it's anything Rick Astley or "Any Dream Will Do" from "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat".

When I used to run at Vic's Clique in Mount Plesant, WI it was "God Bless The U.S.A."

The other part of the Signature song is when the person never can nail it, and still has to look at the screen, and they've been singing this song more than enough.

That's why their singing "karaoke".

Yes! This is why we do karaoke. Some of us cannot memorize to save our lives. The only two songs I can do by heart is Little Duece Coupe and The Letter.

I like to sing my "current" signature song for a couple of weeks, so the crowd gets used to it, then I move on to another new signature song. I feel that in addition to the other songs that I sing, I always have a new one that the crowd likes, and request me to sing. This is mostly when we go out to someone else's show. What a great diversity of songs are being sung by all of you. Some may even become MY new signature song. I can ASSURE you, it WON'T be by Journey, those days are FAR behind me.

I'm just a singer and BS artist, not a KJ, but I have a couple of signature songs, I guess. Certain groups of people ask me to do certain sorts of songs (but not country -- the other regulars where I sing know that I hate country, and that makes me unusual in this rural area). Some ask me to do David Bowie songs, which is fine with me, since I like David Bowie a hell of a lot.

Others ask me to do either "Year Of The Cat" or "Time Passages" by Al Stewart...but no matter where I go, I will always have 5-6 people come up to me and ask me to do "Da' Butt" by E.U. Often I'll get 2-3 people asking me to do "Flash Light" by Parliament as well. And yes, I am a blond, blue-eyed pale white boy.

Wow!!!! eu,, forgot all about them and I have the song! Gotta learn that one.

I've sang many many songs but Aerosmith Dream on is the most requested and Shinedown 45 is a close second right now.

My favorite place to karaoke is Boardwalk 11 in Los Angeles. Great for the atmosphere, the 7-days-a-week karaoke nights, and because they have "A Murder of One" by Counting Crows. That was definitely a signature song for me, as was "I'd Do Anything for Love", "Still Loving You", and ""Somebody to Love".

By the way, I'm sorry if this violates any kind of forum etiquette, but I'd love it if people would check out my karaoke performance on YouTube! It's "On My Own" from Les Miserables, which is a semi-signature song for me.

1. He'll Have to Go - Jim Reeves
2. Funky Music - Wild Cherry
3. Faith - Wham
4. Follow Me - Uncle Kracker
5. Old Time Rock n Roll - Bob Seger

Each of these songs will get people to stop what they're doing and notice you on stage

1 works for the low Reeves imitation vocals

2, 3 and 4 are timeless and appeal to everyone irrespective of their age.

5 just has one of those catchy rhythms
