I recently heard from Zoom Karaoke that if they get enough requests form songs from grease 2 they will consider doing it..so come on help a cause and a fellow KJ out..email them and let them know we would like GREASE 2
you can find a link to their page on
www.zoomkaraoke.com
thank you all in advance

One of two things, either there is not enough interest for the manus to create the disc or they do not have licensing rights.
I have never had any requests for such a disc or even a song from that flick so chances are I wouldn't get it. Only what the customers want.

I was doing Top 40 radio when the Grease 2 soundtrack song "Back To School Again" by the Four Tops was a hit for about 5 seconds and we did a promotion around the movie.
Never got a request for the song and the movie was pretty forgettable too.
I agree there should be more available karaoke songs, but perhaps we should save our wish lobbying for tunes that people actually ask for.

apologize for my s/a remark
The truth is this.. What happened to the Karaoke industry is these mfg started to put out everysong being released the HITS and the NOT SO hits. They intentionally would release 1 disc with 2 hits and 13 NOT SO HITS. KJ's couldn't afford to buy $150 in cdgs to get 10 good songs. ( I know you will argue you can't afford not to buy) But the reality was and is Not many KJ's were buying every disc being produced and back then every manu was producing the same songs ??? Top Hits / Pop Hits / Charbuster / Sound Choice / Top Tunes / etc etc. Many of the companies went out of business or cut back drastically due to profits vanishing.
These Karaoke companies can't afford to make every song and need to concentrate on making the POPULAR SONGS and HITS and get them released quickly before the HITS become OLD (which happens way to fast) ..once they become old ..KJ's don't buy them SAD BUT TRUE ( unless they are on sale) There is ONLY ONE way for karaoke to survive the future and that is for the good karaoke companies (SC PH ZOOM etc etc ) to release SINGLES via download at a reasonable market price. I for one and believe many others would BUY more if this was the case.
For stiz and giggles I looked up GREASE2 and don't know any of the songs and would catergorize them as a SPECIALITY like showtunes gospel or opra.
You would need an audience for these songs and I'm betting many do not have and there is not enough demand to produce it.

Let's say every KJ supports your GREASE 2 project and ZOOM looks at the hundreds of emails and decides to produce the disc. Now Gemini let's say you are the only one that buys it. Zoom has just lost a ton of money due to SUPPORT of your project.
I ask you..IS THAT GOOD FOR KARAOKE ????
If KJ's think they would buy it they should support you ....otherwise NOT

I dunno. I had a song I was dying to get and lo and behoold on a site that takes requests it was made. Karaoke Version is the only one to have "After All These Years" by Journey. MOther Father is currently in production. I have a home made one but it used midi to do the music and it doesn't sound good.

GEMINI GEMINI GEMINI !!! You come across as someone who thinks that his way is the only way of doing things. Your web site has information about the rules of your shows which make you look very arrogant in your dealings with the singers who may frequent your shows and then you wonder why you get treated with a little bit of disdain when you aren't even up on the various manufacturers of karaoke tracks that may have already produced a song that you're complaining about NOT being available. When you try to promote yourself as all knowing, people don't want to help you find out things that you are ignorant of. When you ask for help getting people to e-mail a karaoke producer to get them to produce music that only a very small portion of the karaoke world would be interested in, you are barking up the wrong tree. If the general public had any interest in GREASE 2, there would have been a GREASE 2 Broadway show years ago. There are constantly productions of the original GREASE being put on. There is a reason for this. MANY people like the music and the story of the show.....GREASE 2....NOT SO MUCH. GET OVER IT.
