We use the wipes as well.

Also we use windscreens & wash them with anti-bacterial soap then nuke them in the microwave...

Foam wind socks are the WORST thing to use if you are trying to not pass germs around. These are in no manner whatsoever sanitary. They are foam, foam collects moisture, SPIT is moisture. Feel one at the end of the night. You may change your mind and just nothing. I won't sing at a place that has one or won't let me take it off.
Wind socks are designed for what they are - outdoors to aid in wind so to not go into the mic.

And while all of this "mic cleaning" is going on during your show, who's cleaning the faucets and doorknobs in the lavatories?
Always wash hands then get a towel to dry & turn off faucet & open doors with the towel. Got in that habit some time back. Still good practice & actually recommended by our state health dept.

Has anyone considered cleaning the mic cables during the show? Let's not overlook how many people like to grab the cable in their hand and/or wrap it around some part of their arm

I wipe the mic cords down at the begining along with the mics. Then I have the wipes available for anyone who wants to use them - oddly enough not many do.

That is why I like to sing with the mic on the mic-stand. I don't need to have physical contact with the mic.

You should never, EVER spray anything on/into your mic windscreen if it is still attached to the mic itself. All these products contain alcohol and other chemicals that will dry out and eventually destroy the mic element.

If you want to spray disinfect your mics...remove the windscreen. Spray it down somewhere away from the mic, and let it dry thoroughly before replacing.
