Thans guys for your replies!
The seperate Mic issue is so obvious now, it just slapped me in the face! I have noticed when we are working as KJ's on the actual night, we tend to 'flap' a bit and don't think of the obvious, but when you sit back and are not under pressue as much, all is clear, lol. I guess that comes with experience also, so only doing it once a month doesn't give me a whole lot, yet!
As for the speakers, there is a local guy in town who fixes them so that will hopefully be sorted soon. Again , thanks, Mick.
P.S. I'm sure i will have a whole more slew of questions to follow.

Here's an update!
Got the speaker fixed locally (through a friend of a friend, cost me a couple beers, which is a pretty good price to pay me thinks). Anyway, as all this was happening, another friend of mine asks me to do another gig at the only casino/bar in town on a busy Saturday night, which I accepted. To say i was a little nervous is probably an understatement, however me and the girlfriend go and set up early with help from a couple of mates of mine, test it all out and it sounded the best i've ever had it! GREAT! I play filler music until the gig starts and the girlfriend sings the first song, marvellous song, everything is cool and no problems. Next song up, two lads singing Elvis and my 3 TV screens with the lyrics go blank. After fault finding a bit I get them back on. Quite an auspicious start to the show i'd say. Next song up, 20 drunken British Soldiers singing YMCA, OMG, here we go! Settle them down, 2 more drunks. It's going to be a tough night i think! Anyway, to cut a massive story short, it all ended up ok and we got good reviews from most people, except one really drunk soldier :x who thought he should sing ALL NIGHT! Anyway i can handle most people like this normally being an ex Brit soldier myself!
My one question from all this is, I made up some video cables myself and was wondering if they caused the TV blackouts. The reason i'm asking is i have extended normal "yellow" vid cables in the past with no problems using normal copper wire, but this time i used coaxial cable with an aproximate inner core resistance of 5.2ohms, which i think maybe a little high.
Thought i'd give you all a laugh with the story first though, cheers, Mick.
