MacLeod's get hold of SC? ARE YOU DRINKING?

WHO MADE THE MISTAKE HERE?

Not MacLeod's....

You remind me of the quote from the straw man in the Wizard of Oz:

"Some people without brains do an awful lot of talking."

How about trying this logic instead:

If SC would have verified their information with a legitimate investigator (instead of using bozos like you), they would have NEVER filed anything in the first place would they?. No one would have been dragged throught the media mud, falsely accused or any other problem.

But gee, it's a little too late for that isn't it boy genius?

I have to agree with Insanekj on thei one. If McLeods had just responded to the innitial contact....

Wrong.

McLeods was never under ANY obligation to respond to anything until it has been officially filed in federal court period.

An "intent letter" is nothing that requires and answer.

Why do you think that every business in the world has to stop everything their doing to prove anything to anyone else? Especially when it is uncalled for, inaccurate, libelous and just plain wrong. If I were McLeod's, I'd file the fastest countersuit on record...

IN MY OPINION:
(so that' clear from the beginning)
InsaneKJ is nothing more than a propaganda promoting, **it-stirrer that would like to feel self-important. And by the way, if (and only if) in this forum, I were to post the nastiest, libelous accusations against "InsaneKJ" he/she/it wouldn't be able to do SQUAT about it. Nothing.... because "InsaneKJ" is simply a ficticious name who has no identity to start with. What a wuss...

On the other hand, McLeod's (who isn't ashamed of their name) has been named and LOTS of libelous information with an identified source (who's also not ashamed of their name) has been filed with the federal govt.

The only common denominator here is that the members of this forum are being agitated into responding to this bozo.... like he/she/it actually knows anything?

Sound Choice and their "investigators" did not use due diligence in this case when verifying (or not) their facts.
I, too, would file suit against Sound Choice in such a case.
And c. staley is right. MacLeods is under no obligation to respond to any "letter of intent". Could be some crackpot for all they know, and not responding would not hurt them in any way for either the case filed against them, or a counter suit against Sound Choice if they choose to file one. No one is legally required to respond to a "letter of intent". All it is is a statement. Nothing more. Were it me, I probably wouldn't have taken it seriously either considering I knew myself and my KJ to be legal.
Seriously. What gives SC the right to go around asking people to prove anything just because they have a certain machine in their possession? I have a professional CD duplicator. Does that mean I'm making illegal copies of CD's? Of course not. It means I either have it to make LEGAL copies of CD's for people who choose to record in my studio, or it's sitting in the corner gathering dust.
Just because I COULD use it for nefarious purposes doesn't mean I should be looked upon suspiciously.
I have a black permanent marker too. Does that mean I'm using it to circumvent copy protection on certain CD's? Should I be worried that the marker police are coming to get me because I own it?

Ok Chip, I will give you that....

Then answer me this. What is your opinion as to why Macleod's had not responded to Harrington by November when the lawsuit was filed on September 30, 2009 naming Macleod's?

How long did it take MTU to contact Palmiere, or yourself, on your copyright suit filed against them on May 28, 2009 in Michigan Eastern District Court?

:dontknow:

:dontknow:

The lawsuit may have been filed in September, but when was MacLeods actually served? It makes a difference, you know. And generally, there are time limits as to when a defendant needs to respond from the time they are served, generally 30 days. I would assume, given the fact that SC is apparently dropping their suit, that that particular time limit had not expired by the time SC decided to drop their suit, otherwise, they would have continued with it.

Most of "YOU PEOPLE" never give a guy an honest chance. You listen to other people who tell you that someone is an A$$hole based on things that are taken out of context. For the most part, I treat people the way they treat me or the way I see them treat other people. I don't expect EVERYONE to understand my personality. Maybe it's just a Jersey thing? I don't expect everyone to like me. I just can't understand, for the life of me, why everyone expects me to like EVERYONE. Some people rub me the wrong way and I express it in some of my posts. Obviously, I rub some people the wrong way and they try to get EVERYONE they "know" to gang tackle me every chance they get. I pride myself on my individuality. I know that doesn't fly well around here but.....I GOTTA BE ME. People can't seem to handle the truth on this board so I try NOT to post too many personal opinions about people because they always seem to get me into trouble. I don't mind being the lightning rod but it sucks that when people lose the argument or the battle, whatever it may be, they go crying to the moderators to have me banned. Just a bunch of sore losers, if you ask me.

SO SORRY IF I MADE YOU LAUGH.
