I'm using a Peerless LCFS100 at the moment. Are there other options? Maybe a more stable alternative?

I'm pretty happy with what I'm using. It was actually a tripod stand (just like a small speaker stand) made for a regular TV that I modified to know support my LCD monitor. I couldn't find one commercially available that I liked. Now it seems there are some on the market, this looks very similar to what I'm using and should be very stable:

I would recommend staying away from similar ones that come with wheels instead of the tripod, my experience has been they are less stable despite having 5 legs.

I modified my old monitor stand as prescribed and it now supports a 26" flat screen.

I'm happy with it; even though the shipping was twice the price of the part.

I use the AST420Y from Audio2000s (http://www.audio2000s.com/products/stan ... nel_tv.htm) don't remember where I bought it but it was around $80 and it is a rock solid stand. There is a bracket that you screw on to the back of your moniter that slips over a base on the stand itself and secures with 2 screws (easily put on by hand and easily removed). My old standard TV stand is now used for a video projector used occasionally.

I use the Acesonic LCD stand from Ace Karaoke. Monitor mounts easily, stand is on rollers, Very sturdy, and VERY stable.

I bought a small wall mount, mounted one part to back of monitor the other to a camera tripod, monitor slips on and off tripod folds up for small package....

This stand rocks, its sturdy, and it breaks down into small parts for mobile storage!

As much as the wheels would be a nice feature... I think I'll stick with the tripod as it's more proven to be more stable

Here is an inexpensive way to make a stand. Purchase a music stand for sheet music, one that is for the conductor is usually more sturdy. Look for one with folding legs at the bottom, much like your speaker stands, only smaller. Also get one that the top is adjustable and tilts. Most of these will have the top part able to be removed from the bottom part. Now, cut the top part down (the part where the sheet music sits) just larger than the 4 screw pattern in the back of the monitors. Most monitors have that for mounting hardware anyways. Buy four screws about 3/4" long and drill four matching holes through the remaining top part, and then just screw it on the monitor. Very easy, cheap, and mobile. I liked this so well, that I built 2 of them. The stands only cost about 30 bucks, and the screws are pennies. The hardest part is cutting the top down. I used a cut-off grinder disc on a 4 inch side grinder. Worked fast, but be careful in how you cut the stand, you can get carried away really fast.

I will post a picture of what I did later. It's pretty cool I think.

I have been using one of these for almost two years. Works great, looks cool, lots of compliments. The only negative is the casters are a little cheap and I had to replace them with a larger, more industrial version.
