We have all seen the pics of peoples set ups, now I would like to see pictures of how you organize all the cables, (power, audio, usb, video, etc....), all the stuff most people do not see.

I'm getting ready to redo my SKB rack and just wondering how you keep all your cords organized in your set ups.

:)

I don't have pictures, but I use small snakes pretty liberally. In my FoH rack I have:

1) cordless mic / FX return snake, 8 XLR that goes into mixer inputs
2) insert snake for comp/gates
3) mixer output -> FoH rack equalizer snake
4) FoH rack -> amp rack or main snake

I never unplug them, I just coil them up in the rack. All those are about 10 feet long.

Then in my amp rack, I have a 30 foot snake that is long enough to reach the main snake box or easily get to the one that comes out of the FoH rack. This one also, I never unplug.

I paid about $50 - $75 for each one, which is about the same as if I bought all those as individual cables. It is easy to hook everything up, each snake has a label on it.

I got some of them from www.audiopile.net and they are good quality. I bought some Hosa snakes also, and those are not good. I wish I never bought the Hosa ones. I will eventually replace the connectors on them.
