I'll offer everything on this forum first out of loyality to this forum.
I am still in business and want to keep the integrity of my sound consistant.
Thanks

I think that your chance of selling the whole system as a unit are slim.

It looks like the value of 115,000 songs on disks would be around 20-30k used, while the remaining equipment if some of it dates back to 2001 would be less than 2k (possibly far less depending on appearance and usage).

While some people might be interesting in buying the sound system as a unit, the cost and hassle of shipping the large components make it really impractical, with the cost of boxing and shipping adding up to 200-300 dollars to the cost of the hardware. Most people who live in or near any big city should be able to buy similar used systems locally without the shipping costs. Personally I would not really even be willing to spend the price of shipping on ANYTHING large and electronic that is nearly 10 years old sight unseen (except antiques).

As for the value of the songs it really depends about how many non-duplicated tracks, which manufacturers and the condition of the disks. A rough count of the disks by company (IE 250 sound choice, 150 charbuster, 100 sunfly) would really inform anyone willing to buy such a set. Dont get offended if you are asked to prove that they are legit, while such legit sets exist they are FAR outnumbered by the illegal song sets. With song sets over 100 k, that ratio may be in the 100 or even 1000 to one ratio.

I'm not looking to go through the hassle of shipping item after item after item. Looking to sell local and am willing to take a little less to accomplish that. I'll probably try posting it on craigslist to start.
Again if that does not work out I will offer to the people here.

A list of all the original disks that you have would be helpfull. If you could price them under what SC is charging for their "buy out" offer, you'd probably have quite a few offers for the whole set. What 'cha got ?

Sorry, I didn't notice this went to a new page. I'm in Clearwater, Florida.

When I put my books together I got rid of all duplicates in them because of the size of the books. So I need to go to my KJ Pro and redo them. I'll post them here when I get it done.
