Hello all
I am very confuse how to hook everything up, so I need your help to clear my mind, Thanks for all your suggestion. Here is what I have right now:
This karaoke setup is for home use only (living-room 24x20)
I have the equipment but not the cable, so let me know all kind of cable I should buy.
Sony laptop with free karaoke software (do I need an external sound card?)
Furman Power Conditioner
Mixer: Yamaha MG82cx
Autocom Pro MDX 1400
BBE 482i
Pyle PDWM 4300
Do I need an equalizer ?
For the moment I will use my home theater for the amp and speaker ( Onkyo receiver with Klipsch speaker 6.1) because I am still hunting for a good price for the active speaker, any suggestion are welcome as well, thank you for all your answer.

Mic receiver plug into mixer channel 1. Using the supplied 1/4" cable.
Plug the compressor into the insert channel of the mic. You will need an insert cable like this
http://www.zzounds.com/item--HOSSTP20
The single 1/4" end goes to the insert jack on the mixer, the tip goes to the input on compressor, the ring goes to the output on the compressor.
Mixer main outputs to the inputs on the BBE using a 1/4"-1/4" non-balanced cable. Like
http://www.zzounds.com/item--CBIGA
You only need long enough to get from the mixer to the BBE. Being it's going to be non-balanced connection, you want as short as you need.
From the BBE goes to your amp.

The laptop will plug into the stereo channel of the mixer via a

Ooh thank you so munch for your help Lonman but the last part was unclear for me.
"Mixer main outputs to the inputs on the BBE using a 1/4"-1/4" non-balanced cable."
The main output in my mixer is Output L-R, so do I need 2 cable 1/4" plugin into my mixer to the BBE like this:
Output mixer: L -> Input Chanel 1 of BBE
Output mixer: R -> Input Chanel 2 of BBE
or a Y cable output mixer L-R -> Input Chanel 1 BBE
Output BBE -> L-R input of the Amp

Sorry for a newbie question but I want to make sure I got right,
Thanks

1/4 to 1/4, Left to input 1. Right to input 2. No Y-cables. Output 1 of the BBE goes to input 1 of your amp, output 2 to input 2.

If you had an equalizer, you would put it before the BBE. Once again, output L to input 1, output R to input 2. Then chain it right along.

Thanks mckyj57 for your input. Sorry for my late reply because I was waiting for all my equipment arrived. I ordered from Ebay a use power amp Behringer EP1500 and a pair of Mackie C300 for the speaker. I hooked everything up like lonman suggested, happy I am, everything seen to work perfectly but after 10mn of testing, a big smoke came out from the power amp and a strong burning smell. I turned everything off and began to open the cover of the Behringer and I saw two big black capacitor blow out at the top from the right channel. I am wondering if it was my fault or a lemon power amp from ebay because I am not so sure about the switch on the back (here is how I position them: switch 4 - 5 = ON for stereo use, switch 1 - 10 = ON for switch limiter) Is it the right position for my setup?
Well, I ordered a new power amp QSC GX5 and wait for another week, so no need to do anything, just plug in and out and I was good to go. :P
When I got the new amp and plug everything back, now I have some problem. If you guys could help me out again,
1)When I raised the volume of the microphone in the mixer at half way, I got a big noise Bizzzzzz, so I need to turn it down but the vocal is not loud enough. What can it be the problem here? Is it the compressor not setup correctly or the effect on the mixer?
2)On my mixer, the ON switch light of the internal effect will remind on for a few second after the mixer is turn on. Is it normal ? What the manual said, it supposed to stay on at all time. I tried to hit the button any time but nothing happen. Do the effect still working ?
3)I tried to setup correctly my compressor/limiter/gate but I am not sure I do it right, so I am looking in the forum and around the net for how to setup for my model. Is it model a good compressor or do I need to change it for dbx 166xl?

Well, sorry for the long post but I need a big help, so a long explanation was needed.
Also, is the Mackie SWA 1501 a good match with my Mackie C300?
Thank you for your time to read my post and your help would be appreciate for the newbie like me.

You should of course try disconnecting the compressor to make sure that is not the problem.

To review. Turn the MAIN out knob all the way down to begin with before starting the adjustments. Disconnect the compressor from the insert.

The microphone is on an XLR cable connected to channel 1. The "gain" knob is set at approximately mid range. The 80Hz button should be depressed. The HIGH and MID eq knobs are straight up 12-oclock, the LOW eq knob should be at 10 o'clock. (Those are starting settings.)

The EFFECT knob should be all the way left or counterclockwise to begin with. PAN should be centered. The LEVEL should be at the detent, i.e. about 2 oclock.

Now increase the MAIN while talking into the mic. You should be able to set a
good level.

After you have done that, try setting the EFFECT knob up so that you can audibly notice the vocal effects, and try adding the compression.

Gate - Set threshold all the way counter clockwise (i.e. no gating)

Compressor - Threshold to -10, Ratio 4:1, Engage the Auto Button (attack and release don't matter if you're in Auto mode), Output to 0.

Enhancer - Process to "Off"

That'll give you a good start. From there adjust the Threshold to the point where the compressor only engages on peaks in the input signal and you're golden.

"Pyle Pro" is an oxymoron. No one uses those here. If the wired mic works, the wireless one should too. If it doesn't, it has a problem, or you haven't used the right cable.

Unless you post *real* information about what cables you are using and what connectors the microphone has, you can't expect any help. From what I can see, a normal XLR cable should work. If it doesn't, and works with a wired mic, then probably the wireless mic unit is bad.

You should be running an XLR cable from the "XLR Mixed" output on the back of the microphone receiver to the MIC input on your mixer. Confirm that this is what you are using. If it's not, go out and buy yourself the correct cable and make that connection. If you already have this connection in place, try a different cable. This could be as simple as a bad cable.

Do you have all your equipment plugged into the same single power source (using a power strip or something similar)? This will help ensure that there is not a ground loop issue.

If you're still stumped, try using the microphones in a different location. You may be getting some form of RF interference with the mics themselves.

mckyj57's point is also very true, that anything from Pyle Audio is going to be anything but pro caliber. Doesn't mean it shouldn't work though. That said, there certainly could be be something wrong with the receiver unit itself.

Thanks guys for your helps, I used XLR cable for both Mic, I bought from Guitar Center and the equipment got the power from my Furman PL-Plus and only the furman was plug in the wall.
I think it is my Pyro Pro is faulty because the noise will disappear if I walk away 2 or 3 feet from the equipment and it will make a noise again if I come close.
Well. I will continue testing my equipement and I will have more questions for your guys. Thanks a lot for your good advices.

That sounds like the gain on the output of the Pyle is set *way* too high. Have you tried turning the output down and gradually turning it up?

That's a textbook example of Electromagnetic interference affecting your RF transmission. There you go, a perfect example of cheap equipment versus quality components. I would contact the manufacturer, see what they say. It's an issue yes, is it one that they'll correct? Not so sure about that. Not sure how long you've had them, sounds like they're pretty new. If so I'd return them if they won't replace them.

It look like you were using effect 7; verb plate. try turn the effect knob to either 9 (karaoke echo) or 10 (vocal echo). set the parameter to 12 o'clock and the effect port on the vocal channel also to 12 o'clock. Then adjust to taste.
