I have already Suggested this to Phill...

Now it's your turn....

One of the suggestions is/was in order to be ranked in the TOP SONGS/MEMBERS you had to have all your current songs open to ranking at all times and open for critique.

Top 10 lists would be done by a visitor count to be determined in a fair mannor.. such as a cookie count per visitor or member's name such as a IP address or such identifyable info that can't be altered. Phill is working that. and will reply if that is possible.

If anybody has better suggestions. Please reply below.

I believe those who have frozen the Top 10 list are unfairly biasing the "Competition". Although I can't deny they may be good singers...

There shouldn't be 11 singers or more with all 10's up top...

Well for now Brian that's the way it's set up. I don't care about the lists.I almost never go to them at all , but as soon as this thread started 3 out of the five songs of mine that have been rated for a while , were suddenly downgraded , why? I don't know.I would remove all of the songs that have a rating ( and I plan on doing that soon , unless maybe Guru Phill can just remove the rankings for me so'z I could just leave the songs up) if not I would like to leave some of them up untill I get some more recorded . After that I'm just gonna' submit for fun and comments (NO RANK)...from then on , and just have a good time here. L8er.

By the way after I read yer post here , I checked the top ranked users and , songs. My subs are not there , and the ones that are ranked at this time are all 10's so I don't see the connection to locking out ratings , anyway take care.

I think you actually do a great job personallly but the system just doesn't reward those who deserve to be there.

Personally, I'm not one of them..

And I'm glad I'm not one of them.

first i'm not sure any type of rating is truly fair...

lets say hmmmmm Joe post 7 songs and he gets an average of 9.6

then Jane post 3 songs and gets and average of 9.9...

then u have me that post 1 song ( yea right... ) i get a 10... that means i'm ahead of Joe and Jane....

the less songs u post the better ur average would be, thats not a fair way to do it...

the idea that ( the most visted song) wouldn't work either, then only the most popular person would win....doesn't mean the best singer....JMHO...

Let me rack my brain for a few and see what i can come up with.....ok that was long enough.....lord that hurts...

How about we have ratings.... that i feel most want on here anyway butttt....
if its a top 10 contest, only enter 1 song a wk to that contest and people rate that 1 song from each of us.....rateings hidden of course...


then everyone is equal, we want have 1 person posting 10 songs to be rated verses a person with only 2 songs...seems fair to me...

you wanna huh, huh huh? just a thought..

OK ANOTHER THOUGHT....i'm gonna need some meds after this i just know it......

how about each genre of music ?...

lets say 5 people submit in country, then there competeing against the other 4 only, for 1 wk....same in each genre... enter as many genre has you like....seem fair?....ok thats my LAST thought for today

the idea would not consist of an "Average" this is a "hard numbers" count. purely a "blind" but fair option, (hopefully) if someone should even look at your song once and not even listen to it that person would be counted with a vote.. that's all it would take.. it maybe would be worth ending the 10's crap on here. and make people take interest in some of the other songs that are worth listening to. with the lesser known singers. Maybe Singers like Tonmay have some input on this???

eek yall is a thankin agin pretty cool though to see so many workin together...i will always leave my songs open to be rated..the ego booste is good but honestly.i wanna know how i can be better and better and b etter and better ...

so..all i ask is if u rate me..and i wasnt perfect ..which will be 99.9999 percent of every sub i submit...please tell me what i need to work on and offer suggestions..i never give under a ten that i know of without tellin people what they can do..

and i dont think anyone was downratin u u p thare..if they were like me and new..they find a singer they really like..and they listen to more and more of their songs..i know i look back on mine and find new listens every day...

its good to see that best subs list changed except dang wilbur u hog....hugs yall..it can only get better... the new genre thing i gotta try.i got my disco song all in mind weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hey Brian,

I would still like to see a Competive Top Ten songs of the Week.

(NOTE THAT I HAVE SAID SONGS)

1. In order to qualify, you must be a paid member.

2. Submit 1 song per week

3. The submitters name is NOT LISTED, only the SONG NAME.

4. All members pick their 3 (?) favorite songs in order of 1,2,3 (?).

5. At the end of the week the votes get tallied.

( Suggest secret ballot )

6. Top Ten Songs for the week are listed along with the SINGERS NAME

Honestly I believe Everybody Should be able to do the Top 10..

The privies that most are paying for are the right to sub bigger file sizes and more subs per day and more total songs and the option to be picked to have thier sub played on "That's Karaoke". If i'm correct. Other than that let's keep some of the fun stuff here. So all of can still have some of our own fun if we wish .. but let's keep it fair for ALL.

problem would be there are so few that would be willing to be competitive.. i mean look at how some are about the ranking? many just arent here to compete with anyone else..they just want to have fun..well thats what they said

i like having fun..but im also competitive..i love contests... and i lose most of them..but they are fun...makes ya work harder!

Kass: This should be both competitive and fun and puts a little sense of "Mystery" into it.. not so much "BIAS" into it.. I tend to think it's more fair than what would be going on now. The people who are not registered to KS even would have a "Single" vote now. Which I find would be a deciding factor, and may get them to join us. I perfer the "LEVEL PLAYING FIELD" approach myself. But Still Only registered KS members could Sub songs and Comment but the "charting points" could come from Visiting non-members viewing the songs that recieve a "Cookie" for even viewing the song beyond it's title only one time, Not more than that. the more people that listen to your song the more points that you get.. granted it's a good idea that you become a paid member and keep your songs up for a period of time so that they can aquire enough points to chart high enough to make it to the top.
