do you know how many artists would never have become famous if you couldn't change the key of a song?........ how dare you..
as far as justkaraoke, it's ok for the price, but I do feel the key changer doesn't sound very good to me......just my opinion, and I use it as a backup, and at home sometimes......I'd say it's worth 25 bucks to have around.....only my opinion, and yes I'd sing if you used it....

It sounds as good as Compuhost to me anyway. I still suggest JustKaraoke for the price and the features. The only other player I would suggest cost $180.00 which is Compuhost.

+1 on the key changer being bad. That has been my experience with JustKaraoke as well.

I must be tonedeaf but I just tested JustKaraoke's keychanger and while it isn't as good as Compuhost, It sounds good to me.

Well said A song is written on the artist key which is not necessarily mine

try the free download here http://pcdj.com/index.php/products/kjpro/
you can do quite a bit with the free download, and you have nothing to lose. If you want the full program, sometimes you can buy the disk on ebay for a bit less.

PCDJ"S KJPRO is Karma watered down. There will be zero upgrades to this program because they have moved on to Karaoki.

Virtual DJ's singer list leaves a little to be desired. JustKaraoke beats it by a mile.

Thanks for your ideas so far. Virtual DJ: I have tried and for some reason the graphics on some of the mixer controls blanked out. Money is not really an issue, I would like the best possible key changer that works well with W7 64 bit. Compuhost & Just Karaoke seem to be favourite so far. Am I right in saying though that Compuhost key changer is the best? I think my next port of call will be their support desk just to advise my setup and see if there could be any issues with 64bit.
Thanks again guys.

If money is not really an object, do yourself a favor and select Compuhost. It is by far the most professional package I have seen. The promo value of the scrolling marquee alone can pay for it in no time flat.

The sound is the most important issue for me. Not bothered with scrolling names or promos. I use powerpoint which outlines do' and dont's' (don't bang the mics, swear etc etc) venue's and other ads. I also use winamp visulization for on screen effects and videos (original artist video disc). Just want a decent hoster with key changer that doesn't warble.

Well??? It seems pretty obvious that the problem is with your PC, not the software. May very well be a device driver issue, I'd try updating all drivers first.
Good luck,

Did you miss the part that 64 bit windows refuses to work with older 32 bit programs?

Not the case with Compuhost. I should know, I run it several nights a week on a Windows 7 64 system without a problem.

That's good, but 64 bit windows does have issues..
Don't know why they have not been addressed yet.
