Every time I get some new songs, I like to enter them into my books. However my songbook under artists is up to 184 pages. This book does not show duplicates. So instead of printing the entire book (x 6 books) every time I get a few more cdgs, I put a section in the back of the book such as "new listings" or "hot off the press" or "new new listings". I'm sure at least most of you do the same thing.

Well I have 3 of these sections in the back of my book and I'm ready to combine them into my main book. In the past I've manually done it by opening up the main songbook in fastTracks and adding each disk by typing in the manu #. Too much work. I want to import the newer lists into my main book. I've tried this but it's not working. Any advice from you fastTrack users?

I add the new songs into the main list and then set the date to the date they were added and then I don't have to worry about adding them later to make a big book.

Rip,

I assume you are creating a separate song book for your new listings. If so it's easy to merge the new listings into your master book. At the top of the menu bar there is an open book with an arrow pointed to the right. This will convert your new listings to a CSV file. Once done close the new listing book and open your master, click on the open book with the arrow pointing down and than merge your new listing CSV file with your master book.

Fairly painless and saves a lot of typing.

Hope that's what you're looking for.

Karen

(clicking on songbook and then import/export on the top taskbar does the same thing)

Wow! That's 87 times easier than the way I was doing it Karen! Thanks. In my case, the key is to make all corrections to the song listings and artists while I have it in the "new" listing. This helps clean up the main book at the end.

Danny, your way was better than mine but I think I will stick with Karen's.

What's the changes to compuhost? I haven't updated in 7 months or so. Maybe I should check out the site?

Thanks for the help!
