OK, I'm sure this has been covered before, but maybe it is a good time to re-cap. As a KJ, it is mostly up to us to keep the energy high. What are the songs you feel are best to get the crowd going? I'd like to find some new stuff to do. I have a handful, but some I like to do are Queen Fat Bottomed Girls, 4 Non Blonds Whats Up, Bette Midler At Last, Golden Earring Radar Love and Van Hallen Panama (note that I'm a guy doing a couple chick songs - people get a kick out of this)

 What are your favorites?

Depends on the venue & crowd, however Bodies - Drowning Pool, Walk - Pantera, almost anything Metallica, almost anything Alice In Chains - these right off the top of my head are always hits at our shows.
Actually some of the songs you list i'd put in the put them to sleep category. They've either been over done to death or not known.

Hey, we're country here. For me, a few are Some Girls Do (Sawyer Brown), Where the Stars and the Stripes (Aaron Tippin), Tall Tall Trees (Alan Jackson). For mellower crowds, Heard It In A Love Song (Marshall Tucker) and One Night At A Time (George Strait).

Because they are so old and drawn out seems to be why they are such crowd pleasers. We may hate them for how often they are done, but they keep getting done because the crowd typically loves to do/hear them. I'll do Walk sometimes, Metallica Fuel is a good one. System of a Down too.

Funny as heck last night - a guy gets up and sings Barry White and the entire room jumps up and dances...

I'm learning all of Lady Gaga's stuff and definitely Bad Romance is a hit...as is Poker Face. Some females do - Tok ... and Cowboy Casanova is loved by the crowds but not as easy to sing as some. Thanks for the doink on the head, JR - I guess I was thinking about what I sing on the spur of the moment if I want to jazz things up. Have to move Bad Romance to the top of that last.

How 'bout "Single Ladies" (Put A Ring On It) by Beyonce. Most of the ladies immediately respond. Definately a pleaser at my shows.

Hate to say it and we don't do it ourselves but I have yet to see "Mustang Sally" fail to bring people to the dance floor. We had a guy do it that was so drunk he didn't sing a word but just grunted "Huh" here and there throughout and people were still dancing to it.

Even at the rock-n-roll bars, "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" goes over very well.

 1. Pour Some Sugar On Me
 2. Baby Got Back
 3. Poker Face
 4. Sweet Home Alabama
 5. Mony Mony (either the Shondells original version or the Billy Idol remake)
 6. Old Time Rock 'N' Roll
 7. Mustang Sally
 8. I Kissed A Girl
 9. Sweet Child O' Mine
 10. Centerfold

There are more, just listed the top 10 that came to my head.

I have a rowdy crowd at my regular Friday night gig

 Led Zepplin Whole lotta love
Jaimie Foxx Blame it (on the alcohol)
Michael Jackson The way you make me feel
 Soggy Bottom Boys
 Ozzy Crazy Train
 Clarence Carter Strokin

any old school rap, Sir Mix A-Lot, Vanilla Ice, Run DMC

And always by request but late into the night

20 Fingers Don't want no short (explicative) man. One of my regulars gets begged to sing this and her boyfriend gets out on the dance floor and does his little dance. The crowd has tears running down their cheeks from laughing so hard.
