I have an old pc and I'm wondering if it would be sufficient as a KJ/DJ rig. Here's the specs...P4 3.0Ghz, 1G DDR2 Ram, 80G HD. I plan to upgrade the ram to 2Gigs. My main question really is the integrated sound/video cards. You think these will work, or do you think I'll need to upgrade? Thank you so much for your time,

Jon

p.s. and I also have a 2TB external drive that I'm hoping to use as well. so if anyone has any experience using such a large external hard drive, let me know what you think. thanks again.

the pc you have will run most programs so your pc isn't an issue. I'd look into an external soundcard. Does it have tv-out (either s-video or rca)?

The specs seem more than sufficient and of course more memory is always a good thing.

Integrated video...if it has the capability for dual monitors and extended desktop then integrated will work fine for karaoke.

Integrated sound...well for $80 - $150 depending on your budget you can really improve the sound with an upgrade there.

Are you talking a tower or a laptop?

It's a small form factor desktop. as for the video out and dual monitor, not sure. I'll have to check. It's expected to arrive tomorrow.

You know of a good model? Probably closer to the $80 kind. Thanks
