I have a Behringer Amp - See manual:http://www.americanmusical.com/ItemFiles/Manual/behringer/BEHPMP2000_Manual.pdf

I have two passsive speakers and just purchased a sub woofer. I plug the two speaker using the left right speakon cords. Not sure how or where do I hook up the sub. Any help would be appreciated.

What does the rest of your system consist of speakers (models). What model sub did you purchase. All this makes a difference on how & whether you can hook it up or not. If it's a passive sub, you might need to add an external crossover of some kind otherwise you can actually damage the sub by sending full range frequencies to it.
With that mixer/amp, you are most likely going to have to get an external crossover & separate power amp to run the sub, good thing is the mixer amp has both pre-amp outs & inputs so the external crossover can be utilized so the mixers amp can still be utilized for the top cabinets.

I have a behringer pmp2000, with two EUROLIVE 15" 2 Way Passive 250W RMS PA / DJ Speaker and just purchased a Behringer B1800X Pro 1600-Watt 18' PA Subwoofer. I'm pretty new at all of this techincal stuff Lonman and the layman terms kinda go over my head but I'm trying to learn. Will all this work together by any chance? The PMP 2000 has three speakon connections a left, right and crossover. Can I hook the sub into the crossover with the left and right speaker plugged into the other speakon connections?

That center Speakon is a "bridged" output, not a crossover. But no you cannont use that output if you are using the left & right.
Unfortunately there will be no good way to really hook it up with the aid of an additional crossover & power-amp to run the sub. At very minimum a separate amp i'd recommend since the sub actually has a built in (very basic frequency) crossover - but using this by itself without crossing over the tops could run into some sound issues making it actually sound worse when the sub is on.
I suppose you could run the sub on one channel - like the right & both tops on the left channel, this isn't the best way, but without the extra gear, there really isn't much else to do with the sub.

Would it be different I was to use an active subwoofer? Also, if I purchased a separate amp to run the sub is that when I use the bridge connection to the main amp?

Any comments, suggestions, HELP please would be appreciated for a tech newbie!

Well you purchased the sub.

Buy a DBX 223 crossover and another behringer power amp.

Yes and Yes. With an active Sub, the amplifier and crossover would be built into it. And if you use a 2-channel amp to power a sub you'd put the amp in bridged mono and cable it appropriately.

Could you suggest an active subwoofer for me and what else I might need to run it. I need something that's not too heavy and the less equipment I have to carry in and out the better!

Check out the Mackie HD1501. It's a smaller 15" sub and it performs pretty well. I just got to check it out on a friend's gig last week. So far I've not heard of them having the problems that the previous generation of powered Mackie subs was having. All you'd need then would be XLR cables to run from your mixer to the sub and then another set to run from the High Pass outputs on the sub to the amplifier for your full-range speakers. Pretty easy setup actually, when I use my subs, it's how I do it (I have a pair of the SRS-1500's that I use).
