you might want to check out www.clubdjpro.com

Thanks for the suggestion Danny.

ProVJ looks good on the surface. No one seems to be using it. The few reviews I could find were about 50/50. The parent company has no phone support for technical issues.

I'd rather find something with a proven track record.

And has JustKaraoke ever had an update? I bought it, and don't believe I have ever seen an update.

The download reads 1.0 on thier web site but it will automatically download the newest version 1.05.

While it is the only MP3+G hosting platform, The interface is all over the place. The keychanger controls leave a lot to be desired too.

For clarification; The reason JustKaraoke is only $25 is because it is our starter package - yes, our STARTER package. You are all comparing the top products of the competitors to our lowest product LMAO. As much as I appreciate you all comparing it to the big boys, the real product that introduced all the advanced hosting features since 7 years ago is Swift Elite 4. And if you need to compare todays products, you would compare to atleast the mid-range Swift Elite 4 LITE -- And yes, it had all the features of scrolling text, slideshow, skinnable interface, and much more. But if price is really not not an issue (as one of you described) then atleast focus on the medium entry product rather than the starter. Or step back and understand this is as "Starter" product which out prices and out features the top-end products of the competitors, so if you have to compare stop and realize this or move up to the mid-level product. We have a free player that does more then most of these.

Updates for all our products are announced on the support forum. All you do is download the latest from the website and install on-top of your existing to take advantage of latest features.

Sorry Danny for posting after your post, this is for the others to realize this.

That's alright. I was referring to Siglos Karaoke Professional. I happen to like JustKaraoke's interface. Actually, JustKaraoke while it is a starter package contains one thing Swift Elite doesn't - A true rotation feature so in that way it is a higher end product in my opinion than it was intended to be. That said Swift Elite is more geared to the dj that offer karaoke in addition to DJ music. While JustKaraoke has a filler player it is not meant for the DJ who uses karaoke as an add-on but is meant for the Karaoke host who might need filler music to fill the night if there aren't enough singers.

I've heard that some programs can produce the song book itself...do any of these programs do that? Or is that just a rumor about the programs?

Hoster produces it's own books.
You can take the database from Compuhost and import it into Fast Tracks to create a book.
RoxBox has it's own songbook maker.
