sure,
go to http://www.mtu.com they have a karaoke suite that removes vocals from a regular cd, then allows to mix in lyrics, and make a cd out of it.

There is pckaraoke software. You can purchase it for $29.95 from pckaraoke.com BUT...They used to have the Chartbuster and Sunfly labels but for some reason, which they have refused to disclose, a few weeks ago they stopped carrying those labels and now only have soundchoice and the midi songs from tune1000 (Which I have never been able to make work in pckaraoke software). Leaving ONLY Soundchoice to select from. Yet they still claim to have over 20,000 songs to choose from. I find that hard to believe, since that is the number that they were claiming before they cancelled Chartbuster and Sunfly. I don't really care that they dropped the Sunfly label but losing Chartbuster was TERRIBLE!! No explanation to their customers either! Just "poof", gone.

Steve,
It's all a money or licensing deal probably... somebody probably sold the rights to thier songs for real cheap... lets say.. to allow them on that system for (not the right figure... just a number out if the air...) 50 cents a song, per software unit. just to get the songs out there, meaning it's something from a "core set," and it really didn't cost much to begin with, or the quality wasn't all that great. And someone had already made thier money on the songs already.. Depending on the agreement. Nature of the business. WHO KNOWS IT'S KARAOKE....

Yeah I can understand that you were upset, Steve! From what I heard from you, you like country and Chartbuster is the "country" brand of karaoke. I am not in the karaoke business, but I have noticed that chartbuster stuff is getting very hard to find, I was looking for disco duck last week and only 2 brands carried it, sound choice and chartbuster, but when looking for chartbuster CDs, very few companies sell them nowdays.
Soundchoice, Priddis, Pocketsongs and Sunfly are taking over the karaoke business slowly and chartbuster are slowly dying out it seems.
