Just wondering if there is a software out there that can recognise songs on a disc and create a list, I am talking about for homemade mixed discs, I know there are a few for commercial discs that look up a database online, but am after something that can just read the disc and recognise the songs.

If it's like a custom cdg that you either made or ordered, then no nothing will work and you will need to hand type each song. If they are mp3g files, then if they were properly tagged, then there are several programs that should read them.

They are songs ripped off other discs to make discs with songs I like best.

Please give some examles of the software that will do tagged files, Thanks

Winamp will read tagged files.
But... Did you tag them ?

Power Karaoke will allow you to export your song list to csv, which and be open and manipulated in Excel very easily. The key is to make sure your mp3 Tags are correct for Artist and Song title.

I assume the discs you made are audio cds?

If they are audio cds (CGGs) there is no program that will extract the song names, you will have to hand type them.
