Got hired to do an outdoor show for a Eagles lodge for tomorrow night. Umm. in the mountains, no power (off generator only), and it's raining right now! To top that off, I have a fundraiser to do as well, during the day, but 2 1/2 hours away from the night show... Ugh!!! does anyone have a clone machine??? you can pirate me if you wanna, you have my permission! haha.

I am taking two of EVERYTHING, two laptops, two entire sound systems, and hopefully a helper (my son). Wish me luck!!! I got my fingers crossed, my eyes crossed, my t's crossed and even my legs crossed cuz I ain't got time to pee!!! lol

I was hoping you got a cool car show gig, but the gig in the mountains sounds like fun to me. Bring some tarps so you can quickly cover up your gear in case rain comes out of nowhere.

I have a canopy/tent for sound gear,,and large trash bags for speakers in case of rain...so I think I'm "golden" on that account,,,now crossing other stuff too..lol

Wow good luck with that. I assume you've done the tear down/travel time calculations and can swing it.

Today I have a gig a half hour from here at some rodeo grounds at 2:30. Ends at 6:30 and then I have a b day party back here at 8:30. I'm much more comfortable with pulling mine off.

The b day party is just dj so won't have to hook up sound or video monitor plus pre setting lights up for b day party as I won't be able to use them at the grounds.

Only issue is strong chance for t storms all day!

Well, the karaoke gods were not smiling on me yesterday. We got can canceled due to rain. They did call me, instead of me having to call and confirm. So, that actually was "good" on their part. I guess I didn't pay the rain gods enough money to stay away for a day. :(

I had mixed emotions of really wanting this show to happen or not. I thought it would have been a great experience for showing me how my car show idea would have worked out. Might just have to set it up at the park, just to find out. On a good note tho, I did find out just how much potential power I have available. The earlier show (the fundraiser) was held in a very large high school gymnasium which has seating for over 3 thousand people. It's built just like an arena, seating on all 4 sides, and has the capability of holding 3 full size basketball games at one time. I set up down on the floor itself, and I gotta tell you that I had an abundance of power and sound to totally FILL the room. Was pretty cool I thought. I looked so "small" down there on the floor, hehe. The fundraiser was really a bust tho, not anything to do with me, I did my part and then some. There was just too many other activities going on in town is all. Next time maybe.

Thanks ya'll for your "dry" thoughts, they were very much appreciated..
Scott
