I've got about $300 or so that I'm looking to use to add to my library.

Currently have about 1200 songs which consist of mix match SC, SGB, CB, LS, & Priddis. Either purchased by me or a recent purchase of a collection of some mostly 80's & 90's rock.

I found the SC Foundation 1 or 2 for $259 would this be a wise investment? Or is there other options I should consider for the price?

BTW- I'm running discs and this primarily for home/private use.

Can't go wrong with the FOUNDATIONS ..but they are starter sets and you have to be careful of duplications on your library

Well I don't have a lot of SC stuff and what I do have are either from the Star Series or recently acquired for about a dollar a piece.

That is a great price for both Foundations. Even if you duplicate, you will be getting better versions majority of the time. If you don't get it, let me know so I can!

Even better! :D

Enter Code JulyTen3 and get 15% off.

This brings the foundation(s) down to $220.15 before shipping. A great price for great sets.

Just to clarify that price is for either Foundation not both.

I recognize that promotion code--a lot of times on the site you aren't mentioning, if you looke on the left you will also see a code for free shipping if the order is over a certain amount--usually something low like $40-50. It doesn't appear on every screen. You have to watch for it as you are checking out the various offers. The other thing to remember is once you put in your codes, you have to make sure you process the code with a submit button. If you just go straight to finish order or whatever, it won't add the code so make sure you follow every step.

That is a pretty good price for the foundations. The bricks are also great deals from that site right now. The price per song is less than what you would be paying for their "gem" series, but you might want to consider if you are eventually going to purchase that series. The more you commit by buying foundations, bricks and spotlights the less attractive the gem series will be because of duplicates.

The other cupon code is "freeship" for the free shipping code (minimum $99)

Another code for smaller orders is "greg20" it is a 20% discount but with a max value of $20. The 15% cupon is better for the purchase of a foundation. This cupon may be expired, but it worked for me about 20 days ago. It is a good deal when buying a brick + 3 spotlights for only $100.85 with the current prices.

Unfortunately you can only use it once. (the shippping cupon is multi-use).

Ah! Thought is sounded too good to be true. Still a great price for one set and if you can both at that price each, still a killer 'core' set. Then take a look at the Bricks as well.

Also if you can locate a set, look for the Dangerous 1-11 pack, lots of great songs on them as well and can usually be picked (if found) for under $50.
