I'm forever losing my cursor to the singers screen (monitor #2). Anyone know a keyboard shortcut to bring it home? HOME doesn't work. Tried that. Or a way to restrict the cursor to my laptop screen.

Just pull your mouse to the left until you see it back on screen one. I do not believe there is any shortcut or fix to keep it on one screen only since the 2nd screen is just an extension of the 1st - extended desktop.

Here's the best I've got. Go to control panel and open the mouse applet (under "Printers and other hardware" if you're using the new style control panel). Then go to the Motion tab and there is an option for Smart Move. This causes the mouse to jump to the default button when a new window opens.

Now the next time you lose your mouse hit the Window Key (that opens the start menu) and then R (for run). When the run dialog box opens the mouse will snap to the OK button. Now you can just cancel out of the run dialog and you've got your mouse back where you want it.

Kind of a convoluted way to do it, but it will work.

Search google for:

windows constrain mouse to one monitor

Then use the first link, which is:

http://www.technixupdate.com/confine-mo ... tor-setup/

Seems to work fine.

To your computer, there aren't two screens...only one big one.

Why not just make your cursor/pointer larger so you don't lose it in the first place?

Thanks to all for the suggestions. Lonman’s & WigglyDave’s advice kept me going while I tried mckyj57’s MouseTrap download. For some reason my Karaoke laptop’s dropdown menu doesn’t have UNZIP or EXTRACT ALL. Moved the app from my desktop & it works great. Probably a ID-10-T error. Thanks Mickey J
