Can anyone tell me if it is possable to use a netbook with only 1GB of Ram to run karaoke if I am using Karma as my host and everything else will be external (i.e. hard drive, dvd player, etc.)

Probably not powerful enough to run Karma because you need a state of the art computer maxed out just to run it.

I hear rumors that you can gig with one, but full on KJ work, maybe not enough oomph.

I can run CompuHost on one, indeed it is my backup computer. I don't know about Karma.

But the screen size makes it difficult to deal with -- I don't recommend this course of action at all.

Yes. No reason why not as long as the CPU is fast enough.
Some are not as good as others.

From what someone has mentioned though,
Karma may be quite CPU intensive.

That Atom CPU needs a bit more RAM..

Vicki does use a Netbook to gig with, (I think) and it's OK..

Most ship with 1 gig ram.. I'm thinking 2 is better..
