I'd buy it. Looks like I could sell my cds to all the skeptics here for a pretty penny too.

Sounds like if all KJs went this method, all would have the same libary. Taking out the "personlized" library.
I think this is what sets kj's apart, getting the songs your singers want & putting them into your library, I would hate to see every kj just have access to the same songs that I go out and actually purchase for our singers - which is why I never understood kj's wanting to trade libraries, why would I want to just trade what i've completely customized for me & my shows - not going to happen.

And hope that your internet connection didn't fail (that never happens) so you had nothing to run a show with.

two questions:

#1. what "player software" would be used?

#2. is it an actual "stream" or just a "download" for local play?

Because;

#1. If I have to purchase software JUST to play a single brand, then no.

#2. Streaming is "interruptible" by a myriad of outside problems.

One problem is that there are already several NON-commercal sites that provide streaming karaoke.

While it may be less than fully legal use these home use streaming karaoke sites in a commercial setting, the distinction may become blurred.

I suspect that if this catches on, and some montly fee is charged, then it would have to be so low as to not compete with the "free" sites. At that price it probably is not worth the effort for a company to provide the service.

It would have to be a hard-wired setup in order to be reasonably certain it wouldn't fail.

IDK, I guess I'm just having some feelings of buyers remorse of having spent so much money on my library. If this is truly the wave of the future, I'd rather have the opportunity of mitigating my expenses by getting money for my disks while there's apparently still a market for them

Sorry but I disagree, CB can do more than country  Have you ever heard the Air Supply, Foreigner, Bryan Adams and Barry Manilow album? Man, this don't sound like karaoke to me, it's what I call pro recording, it makes SC sound like midi compared to these album :!: I agree that SC has more of karaoke sounding but you can't say CB are only good on country music :?

Sound Choice is also looking into this. In fact Kurt stated on another board that the label members were looking into joining forces in this.

My hard wired interent in my home failed all weekend - Sat & Sun - would have been death to the show if I didn't have discs to back it up.

I'll still say if I can get it on a disc, i'll do it if only nothing else to have a back up for the computer. I would never rely on an internet stream for any show.

Unfortunately yes, they didn't do the best job.

I do not know if it's possible, but the pay-per streamed song should be fair and also significantly increase the score at your service, because it would be wise to sign, no matter how much or how little seems to make each month. Pay as you're using, so to speak.
