The hardcore collector may want this but why on earth would anybody spend anything extra for S/C discs when they're "giving them away" in download format? No value at all or very little -- kind of like collecting an 8-track or cassette at this point.

THe only reason to own this is so when SC comes to sue you can claim you own all the songs that SC ever made (assuming you have purchased all or most of the other SC discs). Other than that they have more utility than various other collectables like baseball cards.

I wouldn't pay $210 if it were the original Eagles playing the background track

Actually considering what Don Henley has said about karaoke, I would. I'd love to make him "eat" his own words.. *lol*

I don't think that Mister Henley will ever need the money that badly.

I don't get it.
$210 for something the authorities may confiscate.
Am I missing something here?

How do you figure?
Yes, SC did not have authority to produce the disc and halted sales on it. However, it's not a criminal offense, only a torte, so no one has any authority to confiscate it.
Who do you figure will come and take it? The karaoke police? We already know what a great job THEY do!

I never spend more than $ 30.00 a disc himself arrested, but it is probably a very good investment as a collection, if you could get about $ 200-250. Look at him!
